From our first meeting with Belinda the wedding coordinator, we knew we had to have our reception at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. Belinda was friendly and very helpful giving us suggestions and solutions which helped our day run smoothly. She also had a list of local suppliers who were also brilliant. It was incredible to ride on the steam trains, have the wedding breakf

This venue was just the perfect place for our wedding- we have a lot train enthusiasts in the family so it seem the obvious choice, but more than this was the people behind the scenes. Belinda was just something else, we were so lucky to have met such a wonder and enthusiastic events coordinator. The staff operating our train were also a delight and made out guests feel like they very special with once in a life time footplate rides for some. We got married on what was the tail end of storm Amy, so the venue provided plenty of space for our guests to roam around and when it was dry, people were in awe of the place. I really cannot recommend this place more, we plan to visit yearly, thats how much we love it. The venue has a great working relationship with many local caterers and services and all of them just pro

I got married recently at the Buckinghamshire railway in Quainton. The 19th of July 2025 to be precise! And I can honestly say it was one of the best days of my life! From start to finish, I felt like I was in a movie. We had a brass band playing, we hired out the steam train whereby our guests enjoyed Prosecco and canapés on the train and we had an eighties disco in the evening with the wonderful Nigel. It was MAGIC from Start to finish! I cannot recommend the railways events planner Belinda highly enough! From start to finish, she helped me with all of my crazy ideas and NOTHING was too much trouble! I owe a lot of the day to her. I must also say that the railway have some WONDERFUL recommendations of caterers and suppliers. We called upon Rhubarb and Ginger and the food was out of this world! Laura and Shaun, the chefs, are next

This adorable venue was the location of our wedding last week and it was absolutely amazing. Belinda was so helpful and cheerful, nothing was too much trouble and she made sure everything ran smoothly. The centre has lots of gorgeous places for photos, and I would definitely recommend getting a steam train as all of our guests were completely charmed by it. There is plenty of parking and easy access for vendors, and it is lovely to have a long aisle to walk down in a non-religious venue. This was pretty important with 8 bridesmaids! It was really fun to sign the marriage register in carriage that was used by Winston Churchill, and it was important to us that we supported a local venue and museum, rather than having our wedding in a faceless corporate hotel/venue. The whole place is just so cute and pretty, and can be dressed up or down to suit. We had a fairly casual affair with an ice cream van and barbecue, but it could easily be adapted for something more forma

We could not have asked for a better wedding experience! From day one, Belinda was incredibly helpful, supportive, and made the whole process feel easy. One of the things we loved most was the flexibility to bring in our own vendors, which allowed us to make the day truly our own. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and so unique—our guests are still talking about how

We had our wedding celebration here and we cannot recommend it enough. The venue has so much character, and is perfect for any weather! There are so many great photo opportunities and extensive space to put your stamp on it. Belinda, the venue coordinator is absolutely fabulous. She was highly professional, responsive and very accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt ready for our big day and was a great support for our suppliers on the day too. We 100% recommend this venue if

I recently got married at this beautiful venue having fallen in love with it as soon as we first visited. Belinda was phenomenal throughout the whole booking process, the lead up to the wedding and the wedding day itself. She made sure we had everything we needed, helped all of my vendors and was just a pleasure to work with. The venue is so gorgeous and the perfect place for a wedding. The venue is well kept, stunning and I received so many compliments about how different it was from most wedding venues. Compared to most venues, Buckingham railway centre is so well priced, flexible and accommodating, we don’t have a single bad thing to say. I am so grateful to Belinda for all

The venue is beautiful, unique and we had sooo many guests in fact all the guests and vendors tell us how wonderful it was to attend/work in a place so lovely. Equally brilliant are the staff. So helpful and accommodating right from the get go. They really show their passion for the venue and clearly just want you to have the best day and we did! Also the history of the place is amazing we signed our marriage certificate in the cartridge that Churchill and Eisenhower used to travel in! We also

This venue is a “hidden gem” and is a truly epic destination to host your wedding. The stunning natural light that beams through the glass ceiling, the beautiful steam trains and vintage signage, gives this venue a real Wes Anderson vibe that people won’t forget. A dry hire venue, where you can bring in your own caterers and bar suppliers at such affordable rates is a rare find. You can decorate it as you wish, though really very little is needed in this charming space. We didn’t make any sacrifices for our big day - sit down meal for over 125 guests, free bar, and live music - and we still came in budget. The dancefloor area is huge so we could have a stage in for the band and well as create seating areas around the dancefloor for people who prefer to sit and watch. We even bought a sofa in! You have a great outdoor space, whatever the weather, thanks to the canopy. Even when people are outside smoking / vaping, the dancefloor and bar are right next door, so you don’t feel disconnected and people can easily pop in and out. The staff cannot do enough for you. They are communicative, flexible, happy and helpful. They have a great supplier to sort all of your AV needs for speeches, music, staging etc. We also used their local recommended suppliers for glassware, crockery, extra fridges etc (did I mention it was a free bar?) and all were excellent. We ran a train service after the wedding which was worth every penny. First, our own private journey where we returned to guests on the platform for the confetti throw. Then, when guests got on board, it was the perfect opportunity for the Bride and Groom to greet everyone as a captive audience in the carriages, meaning we could relax and enjoy the rest of our day organically afterwards. It warms my heart to know the love and care that goes into the preservation of the stream trains, a wonderful part of British heritage. Thank you so much to the Quainton Queens Belinda, Emma and team. We wish we

We recently held our wedding at the railway centre, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. From the moment we first reached out to Emma to enquire about the venue, we were met with incredibly helpful information and advice that made the planning process so much easier. One of the aspects we loved most about this venue was the flexibility to bring in our own suppliers, such as caterers and bars, allowing us to create a day that truly reflected our unique style. Our guests couldn’t stop telling us how much fun they had and how they’d never been to a wedding quite like ours before. A standout feature was hiring the steam train for two hours—it was an unforgettable highlight for both adults and children. Would highly recommend paying slightly extra for this. We are now lifetime supporters of the railway museum and plan to return every year to celebrate our marriage. A massive thank you to Emma and Be

There are not enough words for this venue. What a truly special place. In fact this venue is the reason we moved our wedding planning into motion. We fell in love with it instantly! Belinda and Sarah are absolute diamonds and nothing was too much trouble. Belinda helped us through 101 questions and was there all day on the day to make sure everything went smoothly. Everyone adored the venue and it really made for such a beautiful event. I highly recommend hiring the steam train too - what a unique touch to add. Our wedding photos didn't even need any added drama as the venue did that for us. I could talk for an hour about how stunning t

We couldn't have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding if we tried. As wild card venues go this one really does have everything, we had our whole day here from ceremony, wedding breakfast through to dancing the night away. From the very first interaction Belinda and her team were wonderful, nothing was too much of an ask and they continually went above and beyond. We were looped in with vendors who the venue had recommended but we were also allowed to bring in others if we so wished. The venue is so unique it really doesn't need any decorating, so other than some personal touches we didn’t have to go mad. We got married in November and we were worried about it being dark the venue just came even more to life at night, we were also worried it might get a little chilly, but the inside is heated. We had the steam train for our guest to ride on whilst we were off taking photos which went down an absolute treat. Even when faced with roadworks due to HS2 on the day, Belinda made contact as to how I could let all our guest know how to still get to the venue. We live locally, and this venue now has a very special place in our hearts, all of our guest left commenting on how wonderful the venue was, even mutteri

Look no further, you have stumbled across what is likely the best and most unique venue, coordinated by the most fantastic team. Not only were Belinda and her team responsive, proactive, and ludicrously helpful in the run up (a stressful time), but their help and coordination on the day was brilliant. Belinda even helping to give our DJ and the registrars a thumbs up when it was time to walk down the Isle. The platform is the perfect shape and width for a wedding isle, flanked by gorgeous historic carriages and steam locomotive. And the lighting and bunting Belinda coordinated for us for spot on. I would definitely recommend booking the steam train, even if you're not an enthusiast. We took our champagne in the Victorian coaches, talked with different friends on each ride up, and conversed at length with the loco crew. It was a surprise to everyone who didn't realise there would be one running on the actual day. Signing of our vows was in a railway carriage used by Winston Churchill, and Dwight D Eisenhower. A great opportunity for pictures, but we could wave through the windows or the carriage to our guests. Now. I suggest you stop reading my review. You ring Belinda and her team, and get yourself booked in with the most fantastic venue (and coordinating team) that is worth every penny spent. There is nothing I can fault. They even have an arsenal of items to use. And recommendations of who to use. photo is from the end of the night and doesn't do it justice. Go visit!
