Blairscove House & Restaurant is a breathtaking wedding venue nestled on a promontory over Dunmanus Bay in Durrus, County Cork. Surrounded by four and a half acres of lawns and gardens, the Georgian house at Blairscove is a picturesque place to declare your forever love. Built ca. 1760, beside ancient fortifications guarding the coast, the house saw fifty owners over 200 years. Since 1972, however, it has remained in the hands of the same family. Philippe and Sabine De Mey are happy to continue the work their parents began. Facilities and Capacity Blairscove House is an ideal venue for intimate weddings of up to 100 guests. You and your wedding party can rent four gorgeous suites on-site, so you won’t have far to go to rest your heads. The family also owns a holiday cottage on Dunmanus Pier, not far from Blairscove, if additional guests would like to stay nearby. Services Offered The Blairscove team is happy to meet with you prior to the day to show you the premises and make plans. The courtyard is a beautiful choice for the champagne reception, and Blairscove can even provide you with a marquee if the weather turns. The meal itself will be held in their on-site restaurant, where you and your guests can enjoy live piano music while you dine. This 300-year-old building began life as the stables but now boasts a stunning chandelier among its ancient beams. Blairscove chefs pride themselves on using only the finest local ingredients.
