Wells House & Gardens

We had our wedding at Wells House a few weeks ago and we would definitely recommend the venue to other couples! The house, the dinner hall, and the gardens are breathtaking, and Sabine and her team are simply amazing. We had a civil ceremony in the house, followed by a drinks reception. All our guests were fascinated with the gorgeous rooms. Some local guests had been to Wells before but hadn't attended a wedding, and everyone agreed it looked fab! Even though it was winter we were able to roam around the gardens for some portraits. Later on we moved into the Hall for our dinner. The food was gorgeous, and the service was flawless. We had our wedding in Wells House a few weeks ago and we cannot recommend both venue and staff highly enough. We wanted something different for our day and chose to have a small humanist ceremony and meal on the stunning terrace behind the main house. The day was exactly what we hoped for and more! Starting with a sun soaked Champagne reception on the lawns, followed by a informal ceremony on the beautiful steps leading into the lower gardens and a wonderful meal with excellent vegetarian options after. Our table set-up on the lawn was beautiful, decorated with over-sized candelabras and flowers we chose from Wells' gardens days before. Our ceremony and reception were held in Wells. Everyone had an amazing day, we could t fault a thing, from the stunning gardens, the staff and the food. Absolutely fabulous. We opted for the BBQ, all our guests loved it and still rave about it! We wouldn’t change a thing about our most perfect wedding day!
