The Avon

I gave this venue the benefit of the doubt. However, there is no justification of the lack of management in this venue. I booked this venue for my wedding for summer 2021 including accommodation with ceremony and reception to take place on the grounds of The Avon back in early 2020 and it is worth mentioning I first visited the venue with my partner back in December 2019. Throughout our numerous visits there was a change of wedding coordinator 3 times. Prior to COVID we had a break booked to stay in the venue which was unfortunate cancelled following the email I received that my accommodation for my wedding will no longer be available because the houses are to be rented to residents for a long term basis. This as a result broke the contract that we had with the venue. I received a refund of only €250 and promised to receive the remaining €750 mid to end of October 2020. It is mid January 2021 and I have not received any response to any of my emails or calls. I understand that it is hard times but this venue is far from what

We dealt with Katie and Saoirse throughout the final stages of planning our wedding and over the weekend itself. They couldn't do enough for us, everything ran so smoothly with accommodation and the Bridal House is newly refurbished and just so gorgeous. We were due to have an outdoor ceremony and with 10 minutes until the ceremony, the heavens opened! The staff quickly moved the ceremony to the beautiful covered decking area overlooking Blessington Lakes, and our guests felt the turnaround was so smooth and professional. We had quite a busy day with bands playing at our drinks reception as well as after the meal, and staff were on hand to support us throughout. We had about 20% of our guests eating vegan or vegetarian food, and the chef, Ray, ensured that everyone was very well looked after. I had serious issues with my bank when trying to make the payment and the staff were so patient and accommodating while I sorted

Our wedding was in Ireland but it could have been anywhere in the world. The ceremony took place outside overlooking Blessington lakes and definitely had the wow factor. It had a rustic feel that was felt throughout the Avon Ri resort, with a beautiful festival style tent sheltering our reception in the library bar. The day flowed from start to finish and I believe that that’s the vibe this relaxed setting offers. Choosing to have our wedding day here is a decision that we are delighted with. It really is a wonderland where even indoors the stunning views and interior offer the outdoors. We can’t express our gratitude to all of the staff in the Avon Ri for the most magical wedding imaginable. From start to finish the staff went above and beyond to make the experience a personal one where attention to detail and customer service were the makers of the best day of our lives. Laura you are super thank u and your team for going above beyond for us and our guests the service is fantastic! We would highly recommend the Avon Ri to any couple who want all of the above!
