The Armada Hotel

On the site of The Atlantic Hotel, built in 1808 ( now a ruins on the site), The Armada Hotel has been a wedding destination since 1984. Our location itself alone is outstanding - overlooking the majestic Atlantic Ocean from the rugged West Clare coastline. We can offer our wedding parties an incomparable backdrop for photo opportunities; a luxurious, yet homely setting and we also use only the finest food and drink from local suppliers and resources. Since our first wedding, we’ve continued to learn, and to strive for perfection. And if our awards cabinet is anything to show for it, then that’s paid off. Among our trophies are the Weddings Online Awards for Best Venue in Ireland 2015, Waterside Venue 2015, Wedding Coordinator of the Year 2015 , Website of Year 2015, Munster Venue of the Year 2014 and 2013; Irish Accommodation Services Institute Gold Medal 2013; Failte Ireland Service Excellence Award 2012 and the Green Hospitality Platinum Award 2013. And we continue to constantly refresh the hotel itself - recently we have completed refurbishment of Johnny Burkes Bar where you can relax in old-style comfort. We have a brand new bridal suite for 2016, we’ve created the luxurious Captains Room especially for our Brides and Grooms and a total refurbishment of our reception area including a new library section, for a bit of quiet time. Not forgetting to mention our gorgeous new bedroom designs & the launch of our new Ocean Bar in January 2016 and New look Atlantic Suite.
