Oranmore Lodge Hotel

It was because of a last minute recommendation that we visited Shirley Kilduff at the Oranmore Lodge Hotel. We had planned to visit two venues that Sunday afternoon and the Oranmore Lodge was the second appointment of the day. After a disastrous visit to Venue No.1, we approached the Oranmore Lodge with not a lot of enthusiasm. Thankfully, we were met by Shirley who banished all negative thoughts and her attention to detail, good advice and cheerfulness won us over immediately so we booked the date on the spot! From then on it was plain sailing – we did not encounter one single problem in the preparation and planning of our Wedding Day. We decided to have both the Wedding Ceremony and the Reception at the Oranmore Lodge and Shirley’s advice regarding the booking of the Registrar to tie the Ceremony seamlessly to the Reception was invaluable – it made the day. Her patience in the days preceding the wedding was impressive, particularly regarding amendments to our seating plan. On the day of the wedding we glided through the day happy out in the knowledge that we were being looked after Royally. We had our Civil Ceremony and reception for seventy guests in this hotel on 14th Feb this year. There is only one thing we can say about this hotel. "Incredible" From the word go our first meeting with the Events Manager.(Shirley) She was friendly and professional and had lots of good ideas and advice for us, and at the end of the meeting we were offered a fantastic reception package at a very reasonable price. Where do I start, I can not praise this hotel for all they had done for us through our journey to our wedding day. We decided on NYE 2013 and I have to say they excelled in our eyes. Shirley you were so good at your job every question or query I had you rose to the challenge of solving for me. To food intolerance by myself and members of our wedding party to the tiny detail that I asked from you, you delivered with exception to detail. We chose this hotel to get married in because we had such a positive, informative and responsive meeting(s) with Shirley, Manager, Oranmore Lodge. All our questions, requests and queries where answered so promptly that we both knew that if we had the wedding here, there would be no stress on us and the hotel would manage all our requests and expectations. The detail of our meetings with Shirley were excellent, we covered everything from menu, wine, room layout for both the ceremony & the reception, flower & cake requirements, bedroom bookings, entertainment for the post meal celebrations amongst many other things. She was excellent in terms of follow up through phone call and email and when we went into the hotel. The catering was fabulous, the bar staff were super fast and the older members of the wedding party were well catered for and minded. The reception staff were great for dealing with a lot of customers and a lot of queries! We married here in this gorgeous hotel. It was our 2nd time around so we really wanted to have an intimate day as we only had 30 guests and this is exactly what we wished for. The ceremony was extra special to us with a fabulous registrar (Helen) and the room looked gorgeous for us. We had a superb meal in the restaurant after. The service and attention to detail was just outstanding. We dealt with Shirley for the planning and she was just wonderful. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone - well done to you all at the hotel - a fantastic venue!
