Having begun the tradition in 1938 Ned & Bridie Langton ran a public house. The ‘original’ premises was a home from home for many, the boarding house above the pub was always busy and many a person began their stay in Kilkenny as a guest of Ned & Bridie. The family tradition of a warm welcome into comfortable surroundings and a delicious and hearty meal began. Through the passing of time but without compromising the core values Langtons Hotel has risen to become a four-star hotel where luxury, sophistication and glamour sit comfortably alongside good fun, indulgence and a feeling of welcome. Langtons Ballroom , a spectacular room, boasting 20f ceilings, ornate cornicing and hand painted silk wallpaper, this room is the delight of any bride. Self contained with its own private bar, access to a unique garden bar and private conservatory, The Langton Ballroom is suitable for any wedding size. Set Theatre , Designed by London Designer, David Collins, is a venue with a real difference. “Set” is suitable for a private Civil Ceremony, a full wedding reception or evening reception. To add to the delights of SET, is the private courtyard where you guests will feel as if they have stepped into a chic European venue. Harrys Bar is suitable for a smaller more intimate, civil ceremony or wedding reception. Recently refurbished the ambience created with subtle lighting and flickering candles will enhance any couples special day. The Garden Room restaurant has been recently refurbished by Gild & Cage and is an exquisite room for small medium or large weddings.
