YOUR SPECIAL DAY Ballyvolane House is a magical setting for your wedding. Nestled deep in the beautiful north Cork countryside, Ballyvolane House has been in the Green family for generations so you and your guests can enjoy a slice of home-from-home ancestral chic. Originally builts in 1728, the house was remodelled in Victorian times to give it a more Italianate style; it's filled with family heirlooms, portraits and antiques. The house is stylish, homely, has heaps of character and is more "house party" than hotel. On arrival, guest enter though the front door into the striking pillared hall with it's hand-stencilled doors. The large drawing room at the rear overlooks vast terraced lawns where fan-tailed doves flutter. The drawing room can be used for the drinks reception or Civil Marriage Ceremonies. The formal gardens to the rear also provide the perfect setting for the drinks reception. Ballyvolane House has over 80 acres of manicured gardens, mature woodland, lakes and parkland to get lost in. Blessings and ceremonies in the woods, gardens or by the lakes will ensure a stunning backdrop wherever you decide to have it. The meal itself would be held in the vintage-style marquee in the gardens (max. capacity 140 guests). Barefoot or ballgowns, we are happy to accommodate all kinds of weddings. Justin and Jenny are experts at planning and running weddings and they will take endless care to ensure you and your guests have a day to remember forever. Located on 30 minutes from Cork City and 2.5 hours drive from Dublin, Ballyvolane is highly assessable but still feels wonderfully remote. Cork Airport is only 35 minutes away and has flights coming in daily from many parts of the world. 30% of our weddings are for couples living overseas and we are very experienced at hosting weddings for couples living abroad.
