My name is Laura McCarthy, I am 34 years and a mum to a beautiful daughter called Ava who is currently 14 months old. I am based in Cork and set up my own business as an exclusive wedding nanny service with a team of other exceptional caring and experienced minders. We have over 10 years experience in minding children of all ages and a level 8 degree from University College Cork in BIS and an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies (UCC) and a masters in Primary School teaching (MIC). We are fully garda vetted and first aid trained. We cover the Munster region, however we do go further afield if required and some weddings we have in the pipeline are based in Dublin and Clare. On my wedding day, I experiences the challenges of finding a reliable childminder. I knew I really wanted my little girl to be apart of my big day but I was worried of searching for someone reliable and trustworthy. I eventually found Liv who is one of my team members, she was exceptional and always reported back to me on how my daughter was doing/napping etc. This service was completely invaluable to me and it meant I could fully enjoy time with family and friends whilst still being close by to check in on them. Inspired by that experience, I started this wedding nanny service to support other mums ensuring their special day was stress free and their little ones are well cared for. As a bride you want to enjoy the entire wedding experience from getting ready in the morning to mingling with friends and family during the drinks reception into the early hours of the morning. We listen to parents needs and requests prior to their wedding and we offer a range of different packages. We arrange a phone call 2 weeks prior to your booking to go over any last minute details and itinery on the wedding day.
