We can not thank the team at the Woodman enough they really went above and beyond to make our day so special. From booking they made everything so easy, we dealt mainly with Nadia and Jordan, they were both so enthusiastic and made the experience easy. The wedding day went seamless and was truly the best day of our lives. The venue is a perfect combination of country pub but very modern and quirky, the marquee is a perfect space to make your own and it is so private tucked away in its little corner next to the stream. My husband and I (and the dog) cannot thank the management and event staff of The Woodman Inn enough for helping us create a wedding day that was everything we had wished for and more. From our first meeting we felt like our vision of the day was possible and they helped with every stage of the planning. Everything was fully explained and laid out with no hidden extra costs. They were incredibly flexible and accommodated any changes along the way, even when last minute. Both Jordan and Nadia were welcoming and friendly at every meeting and we felt like every last detail was taken care of. Nothing we asked for or suggested ever felt too much (even burying a sausage the night before!) and from start to finish was well planned, organised and completely stress free, leaving us to fully enjoy the best day of our lives. The venue is truly beautiful and the grounds were the perfect backdrop for our outdoor ceremony thanks to the good weather. We had our wedding breakfast and reception in the garden room with drinks served in the gorgeous orangery. It really is the perfect space, even with our intimate number of guests it felt vibrant and full. Most of our guests occupied the hotel with great reviews from everyone and the bridal party used the getting ready room with breakfast and prosecco provided for a fun and stress free build up. From our spontaneous first visit, my many emails, planning meetings, 6am texts on our wedding morning, right the way through our perfect day Nadia, Jordan and the team couldn’t do enough for us. The Woodman Inn is the perfect wedding venue. From the moment we went to view, we knew it was right for us. From the friendly and professional service, to the flexibility of the team (we had a vegetarian menu specially created and they’re dog friendly) to the gorgeous grounds for a personal and private outdoor ceremony. We had our wedding at The Woodman Inn and it was honestly one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. From the moment we first visited, we felt completely at ease, and on the day itself everything exceeded our expectations in every possible way. Nadia was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. She was super attentive, always quick to respond, and made sure every detail was thought through so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. On the wedding day itself she was calm, organised, and constantly one step ahead, which made such a difference and allowed us to just enjoy every moment. The entire team were just perfect — friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. Every member of staff made us and our guests feel so welcome, and the service throughout the day was seamless. A huge part of that was down to Nadia, our wedding coordinator, who is quite simply amazing. From the very beginning, she explained the entire process so clearly and made everything feel manageable and stress-free. No question was ever too small—she was always on hand to help, reassure us, and calm any nerves we had along the way. On the day itself, she was absolutely everywhere, quietly making sure everything ran smoothly and that we were taken care of. You could genuinely see how much she cared about us having the best possible day, and that meant the world to us. The venue itself is just stunning. We had our wedding in the Garden Room, which was both spacious and beautifully presented—so many of our guests commented on how gorgeous it was. It created the perfect atmosphere for both the ceremony and the celebration. The evening reception was equally fantastic and flowed so seamlessly from the day. The food deserves a special mention because it was exceptional. So many of our guests have said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, which says it all. It really elevated the whole experience and was something people are still talking about. Another huge bonus is the accommodation. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, and being able to reserve them for our guests the night before and the night of the wedding made everything so convenient and relaxed. It really helped turn the whole occasion into a full experience rather than just a single day. We also have to mention Jordan, who was just incredible. Beautiful country setting. We wanted an intimate evening wedding with close family and friends and we didn’t want anything formal. The team at the woodman enabled us to plan our day, the way we wanted it. We chose to have street style food ( mini fish and chips and pork slider). Portions were generous, food delicious and hot. Right from the moment we booked the venue with Jordan at the Wedding Fair, all of the staff were so friendly, supportive and helpful. The Woodman Inn was always our number one venue because of the staff and the outdoor garden. Leading up to the day itself, the emails and the contact were not over powering, but always at the end of the email or phone if we needed support and if we had questions, which were answered in such a quick time. In the lead up to the day, we had a couple of meetings which were relaxed and put us at ease, as we were stressed! The professionalism from everyone was incredible. Nadia, who was doing our wedding on the day, was so helpful and supportive and put both us at ease at the meetings and even on the day itself. It honestly felt like we had known her for so long. She ran the whole day so smoothly. On the day itself, we could not have asked for anything else. Nadia and Toby ran the whole wedding so smoothly, from originally being set up outside, only for it to rain and moved everything from inside, which was already set up. This was done with such efficiency and our guests even commented on how quickly it was done. The food was outstanding. All of the guests commented on the food, from the canapés, main meal and the evening food. The food went down a treat. There was so much choice from the menus and the food tasting event was perfect to make sure we got the right food. The whole day was perfect and that is down to the staff at The Woodman, as they were so professional and helpful. The venue was perfect, with it being so clean with amazing setting. Everything about the day was incredible. I would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding. I just didn’t want the day to finish!
