Chilli Barn

The Chilli Barn was the perfect venue for our wedding. The setting is beautiful, and the team are an incredibly well-oiled operation - seamlessly coordinating with all our vendors so that everything on the day just happened, without us having to think about it. A huge part of that was Leah, their wedding planner, who was enthusiastic, patient, and consistently one step ahead - regularly asking questions we wouldn't have thought to ask ourselves. She was also brilliantly accommodating with our specific requests without ever making us feel like we were being awkward. The food was genuinely excellent - we are both foodies and were very satisfied. They worked with a very loose suggestion from us and created a tomato and lentil tart that was a highlight of the day, and there was plenty of it - something that can't always be said of wedding catering. We also added some meat pies to the sharing board, which omnivores really appreciated. The wine list is short but excellent: all vegan and organic, and if you ask they can suggest bottles from their suppliers beyond the standard list. Chilli Barn absolutely exceeded our expectations for our wedding. All of our guests have said how wonderful the venue was, and we have had so many compliments from them on the vegan food—people said it was delicious! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, but what makes it even better is having a dedicated wedding planner (Leah) to help you along the way. Leah was brilliant and made sure everything ran smoothly. Everything ran perfectly and the venue was a beautiful place to get married. The Chilli Barn grounds are also the perfect place for photos, and the woodlands over the road are great too, if you want something a little different for your photos. We chose to have a fully vegan wedding, including the wedding breakfast and evening food. We have had so many compliments from our guests—vegan and non-vegan—on the food. Everyone loved it—especially the evening taco bar! We really enjoyed the food/wine tasting evening before our wedding because we could visit the venue again, and it made making our food and drink choices a really lovely experience. We had our wedding in May at the Chilli Barn. We picked the venue because it was scenic due to the proximity to the Chevin and on the more relaxed/smaller side which was perfect for us. Our wedding day was just amazing, intimate, full of love and joy, the Chilli Barn suited us perfectly and felt so personal to us. The venue setting is beautiful with wonderful views from the inside and out, whatever the weather! We married when we were restricted to 15 guests and the Chilli Barn perfectly suited a smaller, more intimate wedding, we filled the space nicely and were able to move from the ground to mezzanine levels for different parts of the day. We needed a venue for a short morning ceremony and drinks reception before going to our main venue which wasn't registered. The place is beautiful, and a great location with country views out the back. We had 30 guests, and requested a late morning coffee, tea and cake reception rather than canapés. The team were flexible and made us lovely cakes! It wasn't cheap in relation to our budget, and we were only able to hire for just a morning because it was an off-season wedding. But overall it was a lovely place and would definitely recommend for a small wedding.
