We had the best wedding day we could have imagined! The food was amazing, everything ran seamlessly to time, and the service was spot on from start to finish - all surrounded by so much love and laughter. Tyran, our wedding manager, was quick to respond and full of helpful ideas, an absolute wedding expert. He was flexible on meeting times as well which was extremely helpful for us and work schedules. Mackenzie, the operations manager, kept the day flowing with such grace and humour, always there when needed but never intrusive, he felt like part of the family by the end of the night. Big thanks also to Ed and Sarah behind the bar, who brought so much fun and energy, and to the housekeeping team who went above and beyond moving the bridal party’s chaos from our prep lodge into the honeymoon suite so it was all ready for us. The venue itself is perfect for a more intimate wedding - nestled in beautiful woodland with speckled light, reflections across the lake, and just seconds from the breathtaking Yorkshire views of Surprise Point. The photo opportunities are endless, and the setting feels both magical and personal. We’re so glad we chose local, not only for the wonderful service but also so we can come back and relive the memories. We had the most incredible experience at Chevin Country Park on Saturday, 12th July 2025, and we cannot recommend it highly enough! From the very beginning, our wedding coordinator, Tyran, was absolutely outstanding. He was highly responsive, flexible, professional, and incredibly friendly. He supported us through every step of the planning process, thought of every detail, and truly put us at ease. We always felt in the safest hands. On the day itself, the entire staff were fantastic. They were attentive, organised, and ensured everything ran smoothly and on time. Nothing was too much trouble, and they handled everything seamlessly so we could just enjoy our day. The venue itself is simply stunning. All of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. The outdoor space is wonderful and really allows you to make it your own. The setting with the lake, woodland, and wildlife is magical – the ducks were particularly inquisitive and brought so much charm! The ceremony room is gorgeous, filled with natural light, and easily adaptable to your style. It felt so personal and perfect. In terms of value, it’s incredible. We booked Chevin Hotel for our wedding, and their team have been amazing from start to finish. The customer service high quality and communication is swift. Then the day arrived and I was even more astonished at the organisation and attention to detail, with additional jobs carried out for you without the need to ask! Secondly to this, I need to note, I have a son with special needs who was always going to find a wedding challenging. Chevin accepted any strange requests with no issue. The day was more overwhelming for him than anticipated and the response from their full team was brilliant, they went above and beyond to make him happy and comfortable. We would just like to share our experience with Chevin on our wedding! We had the most amazing day and everything went to smoothly and according to plan. Everybody loved the rooms and with a huge family from Merseyside the hotel was pretty full. We had no compliants on fantastic review from our family and friends, they loved every minute of it and said the staff were always on hand to help. The hotel is very picturesque with beautiful views of the surrounding areas and we got to stay in the log cabin (Dale suite) on our wedding night which had a hottub. The food was lovely and came out very quickly, the hotel were very helpful when we had a few hitches throughout the week with people dropping out and menu changes, they did their best to cater for everyone. Once again we had a fanatastic time, the hotel was always well heated (as it was freezing in December) and everyone felt really comfortable and relaxed, there are plenty of bar areas and little coves to chill out in if you wanted some peace and quiet. We were married on the 29th September 2012. I would like to thank everyone involved with helping, planning, organising or just taking part in our very special wedding day! From both myself and my wife we were amazed at the quality of support and service we received on the day. The day was a great success and was magnified by the extremely capable and helpful staff. Every member of staff were on hand to help in any way possible and were all very friendly. The wedding coordinator on the day did an amazing job and unobtrusively led everything in the right direction. With only 9 months notice we were able to book the wedding for a date that we feared might have been a problem, i.e. the Diamond Jubilee weekend, 03 June 2012. All our requests were ably accommodated including the Registrar and the 26 members of the Band of the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service who played throughout the Ceremony. The food and drink was fully up to our expectations and the roast beef was even better than on our trial meal. The bars were well staffed and fully met the test of 100 thirsty guests. T

We got married on 4 August 2012 and had the most amazing day. It is a fantastic venue for a wedding and has it all, including a special kind of magic. The staff at the hotel were brilliant, Hayley and Sue were so helpful when we were at the planning stage. On the day we were looked after by Tom and his team, they couldn’t do enough for us and Tom was a true professional. The food was delicious and plentiful. We opted for a sit-down meal for the Wedding Breakfast and then hog roast in the evening. Everything was beautifully presented and top notch. So if like us you are looking for a romantic place with relaxed sophistication where friends and family can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the woodlands and lake, and the staff know their stuff then this is the place for you.
