What an amazing venue! From the moment we first visited, we knew it was exactly the vibe we were looking for and the perfect place for our wedding. It ticked every box – a stunning interior, beautiful grounds with plenty of open space, a separate, gorgeous cocktail bar, and, although we didn't use them, a lovely getting-ready room and unique on-site accommodation. The venue itself is simply breathtaking. Every detail has been so thoughtfully considered that we hardly needed any extra décor and were more than happy to leave the styling in the capable hands of the team. Rachel, Will, and the whole team were incredible from start to finish. They were always on hand in the lead-up to the wedding, attentive without ever being overbearing, and thanks to their professionalism, everything ran so smoothly. We were able to relax and enjoy every single moment of our day. The food from F4D was absolutely delicious, and our guests couldn't stop talking about it. The atmosphere was the perfect blend of luxury and laid-back charm, making the whole day feel so special and unforgettable. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, and every single person had nothing but praise for the entire experience. We honestly wish we could do it all again! I cannot fault the service and level of professionalism we received from Rachel and the team in the build up to our wedding and on the day itself. Our day was absolutely magical from start to finish. Quite literally everything we had dreamed of! I will start out by talking about the people that made it all happen - Rachel, Will and their fabulous team! Everyone made sure the day ran smoothly - they were on absolutely every detail and it all worked like clockwork. We were tended to on the wedding morning and were given tea, coffee etc. Rachel checked in with us both regularly throughout the morning to let us know what was happening and check if there was anything we needed - she even gave me a little tour of the venue all decorated before everyone arrived, as she wanted to make sure I got the chance to see it. Rachel did a terrific job and decorated the place with all sorts of bits and pieces I had dropped off for her and made it look exactly how I had imagined! Now the venue itself - the venue is just exquisite and we knew it from the moment we saw it. So peaceful and quiet but not so far our from the city that it is hard for guests to book taxis or find accommodation. All our guests complimented how beautiful the space was inside and out. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside which is perfect for photo opportunities. There was plenty of room for myself and my husband to prepare without accidentally running into each other. We had just under 30 day guests and 50 evening guests and the space allowed us to spread out nicely but could easily accommodate many more, as it also has a cocktail bar in a separate building. Now for value for money - I can say with full confidence that Woodstock is value for money! You basically get a full wedding co-ordinator in Rachel, who ensured that there was absolutely no confusion or delays and everyone was where they needed to be at all times. The build up was completely stress-free, largely because the venue had a wide range of décor available to use already and any extras could just be dropped off early and Rachel would see to it. Where do I start?! Everything about this venue is incredible, from the decoration to the staff and everything in between. Me and my partner wanted the most relaxing fun day you can have with a wedding and boy did Woodstock deliver (rain and all!) Rachel and Will were ahead of everything and with any little snag, (not like there were many!) she sorted it out immediately, making sure we had the best day. There’s a lot of talk about weddings being stressful to plan and stressful on the day, but I can hand on heart say that wasn’t the case at all with Woodstock. They helped to make sure the day was personal to us and exactly how we wanted it (thank you for going along with the many different playlists we created!) WOW!!!! From the moment we stepped into this venue we fell in love with it!!! This really is the perfect venue! It’s in the heart of York but it makes you feel so exclusive!! The venue really does sell its self! It is so well maintained, a lovely barn, indoor out door feel! We got married here in October this year 2025 and we couldn’t have picked a better venue it really was perfect! We did a lot of DIY but it suited our look down to a tee. Our guests couldn’t have spoken anymore highly about how polite, helpful and fantastic all the staff were and how much of a brilliant job Rachel and Will had done of making it all run smoothly. Our day really was one we will never forget. Rachel and Will really made the process so easy when it came to planning! Rachel was always on hand to give advice and really make the planning process as stress free as possible, she really is an expert. Will really brought the fun into our planning ! If you’re looking for the perfect wedding venue, then congrats, you’ve found it! We had a beautiful wedding at Woodstock in July 2024 and couldn’t have asked for anything more. The main barn is beautiful and our guests loved the outdoor terrace and cocktail bar spaces, plus the water features gave us lots of options for photos. Our guests loved the onsite rooms (ideal for older relatives) and there was plenty of light, spacious areas for getting ready in the morning. Janice, Daisy and team were brilliant throughout the process- always on hand and quick to answer questions or give advice, and a huge help on the day to make sure everything ran smoothly. We had quite a detailed brief of all our decorations and personal touches that Janice & co. layed out exactly as requested, which really took the stress out of setup and allowed us to make the most of enjoying our day. They even made sure we had lovely sunny weather!! The resident catering team (F4D) were also amazing throughout- very flexible with menu options and tastings, excellent at managing guests’ dietary requirements on the day, and not to mention delicious food served exactly as requested. From start to finish, Woodstock were incredible. The venue itself is STUNNING and we just fell in love with it instantly. The styling is already perfect and you won’t need anything else for your day if you don’t want anything specific. We had the most perfect wedding day at Woodstock, it’s a 10/10 for us I would highly recommend to future couples. Janice and the team met our every need. As soon as we viewed it ticked all our boxes, a cocktail bar, evergreen trees, a huge field, beautiful interiors and so much more.
