Weddings and events Carr Mount Estate is a small country estate and wedding venue in the beautiful Esk Valley just outside of historic Whitby, North Yorkshire. Our main aim here at Carr Mount Estate is to offer truly personal and unique weddings and events based around our stunning and versatile Tipis. Since starting in 2016, we have hosted a huge variety of weddings, from formal to highly relaxed themes. We pride ourselves on working with each client to achieve the exact wedding they have always dreamed of. What we offer All weddings and events at Carr Mount Estate are centred around our Nordic Tipis. The Tipis themselves can be set up to cater for small "micro-weddings" of only a handful of your nearest and dearest friends and family right up to layouts hosting 200+ guests. As day turns to night, the Tipis really start to shine (literally!) as hundreds of fairy lights illuminate them. This magical feel continues outside with festoon walkway lighting. Our 4-star gold holiday cottage offers the bride and groom a relaxing, luxurious, and comfortable home away from home during the wedding. This can be for two nights or longer. Why not have a few days here to settle in before the wedding or relax afterwards? We offer the venue for one or two-day packages. Why two days? Well, we feel that having a second day to host a much less formal event, such as a BBQ with close family and friends, really adds to the whole experience. A wedding day flashes past at such a speed that it can be hard to really connect with all your guests. Why not spread it over two days ? Also supplied for the duration are high-quality toilets or "posh loos" and a fully stocked and staffed bar if required. Do you want to supply all or part of your drinks? We do not charge corkage.
