We were able to be completely present and enjoy every single minute of our special day, because the venue handle absolutely everything. It was seamless, beautiful and just perfect. Nothing was ever too much for the team, the way we were able to style the orangery and the whole venue to capture our regency vision. David and the whole team were not only highly organised and efficient but incredibly caring and attentive. they helped us achieve every aspect of our wedding that we wanted and it was actually more than we could have dreamed of. Our whole day ran smoothly from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble for the team, even though it was extreme heat on the day, they didn't falter and us and our guests remained their priority throughout. We had our wedding at The Lawn on the 27th March 2026, and quite honestly, we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue. From the very beginning, everything about The Lawn felt special. The setting itself is absolutely stunning—a beautiful Georgian manor house surrounded by immaculate gardens and countryside, creating the most incredible backdrop for our day and our photos. It really does feel like you have your own private estate for the day, which made everything feel so personal and intimate. What truly sets The Lawn apart, though, is the people. The team were exceptional from start to finish—so friendly, calm, and incredibly organised. They made the entire process feel easy and enjoyable, and on the day itself, everything ran seamlessly. We were able to completely relax and just enjoy every moment, knowing everything was taken care of. The exclusive use of the venue meant the whole day felt entirely ours, and the layout of the house worked perfectly—from the ceremony through to the evening celebrations. I couldn’t wait to set a date for our wedding! But when we started to look around venues, the cost of everything was such a shock, I began to wonder if we could ever even afford to get married. The Lawn changed all that. We booked a beautiful twilight wedding for a very affordable price in November 2025. I still remember going to The Lawn for my first look around. The driveway itself is very impressive! And the house is just beautiful. It has a wonderful, traditional feel to it. David showed me around and I instantly trusted him. He is incredibly professional and friendly. He put me at ease and I just knew he would do a good job. It’s a really big deal booking a wedding venue and putting your trust in someone like that. David and his team completely understood that and I was treated with nothing but respect from the moment I booked. One of the best things about working with David is the speed and helpfulness at which he replied to my (many!) emails in the lead up to the wedding. No question was too small or too silly. It really put my mind at rest and made the whole planning process much less stressful! The venue looks wonderful in the twilight setting - the lighting is perfect for this time of day. David is exceptionally attentive and the entire team both seen and unseen delivered everything to such a high standard, you would be foolish not to consider. Every detail was executed as we asked, our photographer and band found dealing with the staff at the lawn effortless meaning that by the time we arrived there were no questions left to answer. I would highly recommend the Lawn to anyone who is considering using this venue for their wedding or for any other special event they have coming up. The staff and management are very friendly and have a real warmth from the moment you meet them. They really go out their way to make the day as special for you as they can. We had our wedding at The Lawn in Rochford and we honestly can't recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, they were more than just a venue – they became like our wedding planners, our toastmasters on the day, and our emotional support team all in one. Their help went far beyond what we ever expected, and their level of involvement was entirely led by us – they were there as much or as little as we needed. What stood out most was how personalised the whole experience felt. It didn’t feel like we were just another wedding on the books – it felt like our day, completely tailored to us. Every little detail was thought of, and nothing was too much trouble. On the day itself, I was running late getting ready, but at no point did anyone pressure me or my hair and makeup team to hurry up. Instead, they just quietly ensured everything was still running smoothly in the background. Their priority was always making sure we had the perfect day – and we really, really did. One of the most touching moments was just after we got married, when they allowed us to have a quiet drink alone together as a newly married couple before the meal. That little breather meant so much and showed just how thoughtful and experienced the team are. Our wedding wasn’t entirely traditional – we had a brass band, and a Christian Russian Orthodox wedding ceremony after the legal marriage – and The Lawn welcomed all of it with warmth and complete flexibility. Nothing phased them. They were so accommodating with every aspect of the day. David and the entire team were just incredible. I sent many long and detailed emails in the lead-up, and every single one was answered with care and attention. They made us feel heard, understood, and totally supported every step of the way. It’s a family-run venue and you can absolutely feel that. Their pride, passion, and attention to detail shine through in everything they do – from their amazing team to their recommended suppliers, all of whom were brilliant too. The experienced team were very helpful with the planning and professional throughout, taking any potential stress out of the day so that we could relax and fully enjoy our special day. We were married in September 2023 and had our reception at the lawn. As it was an African-British wedding, we had many requests which the team at the Lawn really helped with. As we had exclusive use, the bridal party could get dressed at the Lawn before heading to Church and the parking was great for our guests travelling from long distances. Guests loved the horses and grounds. They particularly commented on being well catered for. It was a perfect day!
