From the moment we were shown around The Lakeside, we knew we had found the venue, and the team, for us. We had complete confidence in Hannah and everyone at Wild Berry from the very beginning. Their support, guidance and reassurance throughout the whole process was incredible. No question was ever too silly, and we always felt that we had someone there to help us, whatever we needed. Since our wedding, so many of our family and friends have commented on the little things they noticed happening behind the scenes. Things we didn't even see ourselves that were quietly being done to make sure everything ran smoothly. It really showed just how much care and attention the whole team puts into making the day special. A particularly special part of our wedding preparations was being able to meet with Pete and Hannah at The Sun to discuss our ideas for the menu. Having Pete tailor-make and design a menu specifically for us, and then being able to taste it with our family, was such a lovely experience. At every stage, we were made to feel that these moments were something special rather than just another task to tick off the list. Our guests have continued to compliment us on the food and canapés, which were absolutely fantastic! We had an amazing set of suppliers who we were so pleased to have as part of our day, and Hannah did a fantastic job coordinating everything for us in the run-up to the wedding and throughout the day itself. Having that support and knowing that everything was being coordinated behind the scenes gave us complete peace of mind and meant we could simply enjoy every moment. The Lakeside was perfectly presented and ready for us on the day. The fields, lake and farm were absolutely stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding. We know there was so much work happening behind the scenes by the Wild Berry team to keep the venue looking so beautiful, particularly in the extreme heat and drought we experienced this year. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue. The Lakeside at Wild berry Farm was everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we pulled up and saw the lake in the sun, we just knew this was the venue. The Fields and the lake view throughout the ceremony was breath-taking and relaxing throughout the day for the guests. The whole vibe of the day was peaceful, natural, and totally romantic, just what we wanted. We had our ceremony right in front of the lake and it was truly perfect. Later, we ate and danced with fairy lights strung up around the tipis with the night sky coming in and it was just beautiful. The team there were amazing. Super friendly from the start to end, always on hand, and genuinely cared about making the day special for us. Just over two years ago, we visited the Lakeside by Wild Berry Farm, and honestly, it was love at first sight. We feel so incredibly lucky that we happened to visit on a day when another wedding was taking place because seeing the venue come alive just sealed the deal for us. We were warmly greeted by Hannah from Fields and Festoons, whose genuine love and passion for the venue was absolutely infectious. She didn't need to do much selling because the venue just spoke for itself. The gorgeous combination of open fields, that beautiful lake, and the lovely marquees ticked every single box on our must have list. But honestly, what we loved most was finding people who cared about our wedding as much as we did. That meant absolutely everything to us. Working with all the local vendors was like watching a little family come together. Everyone was so lovely and genuinely invested in making our day absolutely perfect. The love and care from everyone involved was overwhelming in the best possible way. Our wedding day was everything we had dreamed of and so much more. We're still floating on cloud nine! The swans emerged from the lake to make their VIP guest appearance. The staff from The Sun Inn were absolutely phenomenal, so warm, friendly, and looked after everyone brilliantly. We couldn’t recommend Wildberry Farm and their team highly enough! We got married in May, and Hannah and the team were simply amazing. From start to finish, they were incredibly responsive and patient, always taking the time to understand our ideas and vision and translate it into something beautiful. Pete and the team at The Sun went above and beyond, working with our ideas to create the most amazing menu. Where possible Pete used seasonal, local ingredients including asparagus from the neighbouring field!! Pete also did a fantastic job behind the bar, whipping up the most delicious cocktails which our guests LOVED. On the day itself, the coordination was flawless. Where do we start in reviewing our experience with The Lakeside team ... We were set on a wedding that felt super personal and wasn't a 'conveyor belt' wedding. The Lakeside got our vision completely and made the day so special to us! Hannah was sensational from start to finish. She met with us regularly guiding us through the process, coordinated with all the suppliers to ensure all went to plan, had a sewing kit to hand when my wedding dress broke and even dropped us back at our hotel at the end of the night! The day was stress free and seamless for us and managing 150 guest food orders and bar service is no mean feat! We used the food at The Sun and were not let down! We are so unbelievably pleased we chose The Lakeside at Wild Berry Farm for our wedding venue. The venue is just perfect. We will never forgot the sunset over the lake, the festoon lights round the field, the jetty, the beautiful marquee and everything in between. You would be our choice every time. We were very fortunate to know of the Lakeside at Wildberry Farm in its early days, with family living in close proximity to the venue. However what we could never have imagined is how stunningly beautiful the venue could look, how wonderful everyone involved with the Lakeside are and how determined everyone is to deliver the best wedding day you could imagine. In terms of planning and coordinating the day, JJ and Laura are open to pretty much any idea you can put to them and wholly accommodative where they can be. The venue comes with a wedding coordinator, Hannah from Field and Festoons, who is absolutely brilliant in bringing your ideas out and building them into a wedding day even better than you could have imagined. We could not have done any of this without her and will forever be grateful for her creativity, patience and insight. The Lakeside is also linked with the Sun Inn at Felmersham, who provide the catering services including all the food and bar supplies. We have got to know the people at the Sun really well and their food is simply outstanding. Our guests waxed lyrical for weeks after our wedding day about how good the food was, while the bar service was flawless. I also had the pleasure of staying at the Sun the night before our wedding with my groomsmen. Once again, we couldn’t have received better care by the attentive staff, while the accommodation itself is really high class and luxurious, with all amenities and furnishings of the highest standard. Another preferred supplier is tent provider FM Tents - whose beautiful structures and furniture formed the centre piece for the aesthetic of our day. They were also largely un-phased when we told them we were looking to create a glamping village, in which around 50 of our guests stayed overnight (including us of course!) Absolutely beautiful venue. Ideal for an outside summer wedding, it fit our vision for what we wanted on the day perfectly. The team were fantastic from the initial communication and questions, support throughout the planning process (Hannah is so knowledgeable) and then faultless on the day itself including set up and take down. What you get is incredible value for money and they burden some of the stress of wedding planning so it became an enjoyable process. We had a magical day, all our guests enjoyed themselves and we would do it all again if we could. Some of services that really stood out for us were the level of communication, the check ins to make sure we had considered everything (and there were lots of details that we just hadn't thought about), the support with set up and the fact that Hannah will liaise directly with the suppliers on your behalf and the actual wedding package itself. The wedding package on paper does not do it justice - the views and the space speaks for itself but at nighttime it's taken to a whole other level which was magical. We had our wedding day at The Lakeside in August 2021 and I honestly wish we could do it all over again. The venue hadn’t actually opened for weddings yet but the team took everything in their stride when we asked if we could hold our wedding with them with only 6 weeks to plan it!
