We married in December 2024 in the Council Chamber at the Guildhall, we're both from Northampton and wanted to be married somewhere historical so this was perfect. There's a number of rooms to choose from based on number of guests or just your preference, however they are all beautifully preserved/presented, and we opted for the Council Chamber due to a family connection. The Guildhall was also dressed beautifully for Christmas with trees and lights everywhere which felt very special. We met with various members of the Guildhall Office team throughout planning, and they were all very friendly, but our Coordinator on the day was Anfernie and we cannot thank her enough for all her help! She was so attentive and really went above and beyond to make our wedding special (she even scrolled through hundreds of fonts on Canva to find the one that matched our signage so she could make a similar sign to be used to show guests where to go!). She also sorted parking permits for our florist and guests with mobility issues to park in the underground car park, and liaised with the coach driver on the day to ensure they were parked in the right spot with a permit to avoid any issues. The team did a great job setting up the room as we discussed/planned, and we were impressed with the level of flexibility we got with such a historic and important room to still make it our own for our ceremony. We did have our own florist bring flowers in but the Guildhall would have provided flowers for the ceremony/register tables included in the room hire costs. Overa
