We had our wedding at Dorney on a very sunny 31°C day in May 2026 and we honestly could not had chosen a better venue and team! It was such an amazing day and we couldn't be happier with how the team planned, coordinated and pulled everything together from the very beginning to the end. We had so many compliments from guests about the food and drink where even my brother who is vegan said the alternative meal option we had chosen had been one of the best vegan wedding foods he's had so far! From the moment we stepped out of the car on our first visit to Dorney Court in a rainy January, we knew there was something special about it...even if we couldn't put our finger on exactly what! We were looking for somewhere with a bit of history and character and this fitted the bill perfectly, and we loved that everything was all on one site and one level, and that it was totally exclusive to us throughout the day. Having a church wedding was never a deal breaker for us, and at Dorney we had the option of church, barn, house or gardens for our ceremony, but on seeing the church, St James the Less, it was a no brainer. It was simply stunning. Note that to get married in the church you do need to establish a connection, attending once a month for at least 6 months prior to Banns being read, and attend a wedding preparation day with other couples...neither of which were too much trouble for us. The team at Dorney are a delight to work with, very quick to respond and flexible to your wants and needs - they quickly put us at ease and gained our trust, with friendliness and professionalism throughout. Despite picking a summer's day and planning outdoor activities, the British weather had other plans for us, but the on site team were quick to adapt our plans for us so that we didn't need to worry about a thing on the day. We had an absolutely magical wedding day at Dorney Court. The team were extremely helpful beforehand, responding promptly and providing information on trusted suppliers. Our consultations helped us focus in on little details we could easily have overlooked, and on the day the team were so slick, and everything ran smoothly (despite my vague creative direction on placement of decorations). The food was also absolutely delicious, with ideal portion sizes for a 3-course meal with cake after :) The grounds and house are absolutely stunning. However, don't think the high-end look stops you from making your wedding personal to you. I couldn't recommend Dorney Court highly enough. We booked our wedding in August 2020, to take place a year later, when there was lots of uncertainty around what would be allowed due to Covid. Thankfully we were able to have the unrestricted wedding we planned, and throughout Lucie, Don and the team were fantastic, helping plan a scaled back 50% capacity scenario as well as the full-scale event we went on to have. The venue is simply beautiful. We had welcome drinks and speeches on the main lawn in front of the original house, which is full of character. We then had our wedding breakfast and evening reception in the Coach House Barn - the old converted stables, which have been modernised, but retain some original features such as the ceiling beams. The in-house catering team were great, the food was delicious. The adjoining courtyard is the ideal setting for after-dinner mingling - we had a mini crazy golf course for guests while the band set up. It was the perfect day! We had the most amazing day and I couldn’t quite believe how smoothly it ran without Alex or I needing to think about a single thing! There were a couple of moments when I remembered something I needed to ask you, looked up, and realised it was already done — from seamlessly moving everyone and everything outside when the weather was so good, to bringing the flowers across from the house to the barn so we could enjoy them for longer. It was also really special to be given five minutes on our own with a plate of canapés and a bottle of prosecco away from everyone – so thoughtful. Every single member of staff was friendly, professional and brilliant!
