We had our wedding at The Cherry Barn in Rye on 29th October 2021 and what a fabulous day it was. The first time we saw the Cherry Barn, we knew that our search for a venue had come to an end. It had everything we were looking for, character, exclusive use, space for all our guests and it was beautiful. Mel and Steve who run the Cherry Barn were so great to liaise with. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they let us come and view the Cherry Barn as many times as we wanted to during our planning. The Cherry Barn is a dry hire venue which meant that we had pretty much free rein to do as we wished in terms of decoration, although other than flowers we didn't do much else as it is lovely on it's own. Mel's supplier list made it easy for us to contact whoever we needed such as caterers, entertainment, prop hire etc. We had 48 hour exclusive access to the barn which meant we could go there the day before to setup instead of rushing about on the morning of the wedding. Our guests loved the Cherry Barn almost as much as we did. Plenty of space for everyone, we had around 100 people and it was perfect. We could fit an 8 piece band in the evening and still loads of room for people to dance and mill about. Mel lit the fire pit on the patio in the evening and guests toasted marsh mallows and ordered pizza from the pizza van we had booked. The newly weds have had so many texts and messages saying it was the the best wedding they have ever been too. A lot of this is down to you. You are so cool about everything. We just wanted to write to say thank you to you for all you did on Saturday (and before and after) to make Catherine and Mike's wedding day so special. What a wonderful place the Cherry Barn is. We all fell in love with it as soon as we saw it and never had any doubt that it would act as the perfect setting for the wedding reception. Our guests loved it too - so relaxed, so pretty - a perfect setting. But what made it really special was all the care you take to make sure everything runs smoothly - and your love for the barn and your enthusiasm. We so appreciated all those things. We held our wedding reception here last Saturday and couldn't recommend The Cherry Barn more highly! It has been beautifully and lovingly converted into the perfect party venue. It is in a great location with stunning views and despite it being winter it worked perfectly as a twinkly and cosy party venue for all of our guests!
