We had our wedding reception at The Cattle Barn in June and we couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful venue and location to celebrate with friends and family. It was a glorious, hot, sunny day and the views were spectacular. The barn is set amongst beautiful grounds with grass laid lawns and flower beds surrounding the outside seating area which meant we really didn’t need to make much effort decorating the outside space! There was easily enough room to accommodate 200+ guests, both inside and out, and there were plenty of comfy sofas and benches to sit on and have a drink or two. The inside of the barn is also light and airy and there's lots of space for tables and a dance floor. A gorgeous bar stretches the length of the room which is lit with fairy lights and this leads outside to a lovely pond area where you can sit and relax under the willow tree. Along the outside of the barn there are a number of bunkhouses and two very cute glamping Pods which guests may book should they wish to stay overnight. We stayed in one of the Pods which was bee themed and the owners made it feel really special for us. The venue is run by its owners, Fred and Vicki, who went above and beyond to help make our day spectacular. Nothing was too much trouble and Vicki even matched the staff's uniform with our wedding colours! We were able to decorate the venue the previous day and Fred and Vicki were very relaxed about how we wanted to arrange things, even helping out when time was pressing on. All of the staff worked so hard to make sure everyone enjoyed the day and were so friendly and welcoming to us and our guests. We had an outside BBQ during the evening, followed by some amazing homemade desserts made by Vicki. We received so many compliments about the food and venue afterwards which speaks volumes.
