Where do I even begin! We got married on the 20.05.23 and honestly it was the best day of our lives. Talhenbont was only 1 of 2 venues we went to view and the second we drove down the drive we fell in love instantly! It had absolutely everything that we wanted in a venue, the natural beauty around the venue is just breathtaking! The venue is everything we could have asked for, full of character! The accommodation on site was also amazing! Our dream wedding would not have been possible without the staff at talhenbont. When we first met Alicia we knew this was our venue, regardless of the appearance of the venue, Alicia was the main reason we booked. Her attention to detail and the way she spoke about everything from the get go, was just so inviting and we just knew our wedding would be amazing with Alicia running the show, she genuinely cares about your wedding which is rare to come by at other venues. we had constant contact with Alicia throughout the wedding planning phase and she was so quick to help with everything, we honestly can’t thank her enough! We also had the privilege of working with Charmaine, and I what a pleasure that was. We got married here on 13th April 2022 and to say it was absolute perfection was an understatement. Venue: We had the whole estate for 3 days (3pm Tuesday - 3pm Thursday), including all the cottages on site for our guests (4 cottages; including the house the venue sleeps 42) - all included in the venue cost. The estate is simply beautiful, with ducks and Snowy the peacock, many bridges, a lovely river, lush greenery - the option to marry outdoors under an arch (weather dependant) or indoors in the new Coach House. We were advised by Alicia to wed in the Coach House due to bad weather the day before, and it in no way compromised anything. The rooms were/are all beautiful, with many bathrooms - everything was so clean and fresh. The night before the wedding we all had a chippy tea from a local shop (Allports) recommended by Alicia which was fantastic, but there's an option to cook with the Aga oven (ovens in cottages too). All cottages and thw main house have all amenities; we wanted for nothing. Alicia even provided us with a breakfast hamper! Staff: juat flawless. So incredibly helpful and took care of everything. The service was second to none, really friendly, they all felt like old friends. Bethan sorted everything on the wedding day, making sure everyone was where they were meant to be when they were meant to be, and took care of all the suppliers when they arrived - the day went without a hitch. Cheeky Chillis food was amazing and their staff incredible, accommodated a special diet for my dad too who has kidney failure. The turnovers of the rooms from Ceremony, to wedding breakfast, to dance floor were swift, no one had to worry about a thing. They made us all feel so special, even taking guests back to their rooms after the reception. The day after the wedding checkout wasn't until 3pm which gave us enough time to pack up and enjoy the venue and grounds with out loved ones before starting our new married life. Myself and my husband were married at Talhenbont hall 18/02/2020. We stayed with close friends and family in the main hall and cottages from the 17th until the 19th. These 3 days were absolutely wonderful, we couldn’t have asked for more from Alicia, Paul and little Daisy. They went out of their way to make our day and the build up as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Everyone was blown away by the beauty of the location and are itching to get back there! We fell in love with the location the minute we saw it and couldn’t imagine anywhere being as stunning with owners so kind and helpful. From the moment we arrived we felt so so special in this beautiful setting. From the gorgeous and homely cottages, to the grand and beautiful hall and wonderful grounds. My husband and I hosted our wedding at Talhenbont Hall last month having discovered the venue whilst we were staying in one of the self-catering cottages on site in 2017. By chance Alicia was holding a wedding fayre in the main Hall that weekend and she showed us around. When my now husband popped the question a few weeks later we couldn’t find a venue to match it. We live in Warwickshire but decided that the beauty and intimacy of Talhenbont Hall warranted the journey to rural Wales. Being able to book the Hall exclusively meant that we could invite family and friends to stay and enjoy a mini-break on us at the same time as celebrating our wedding. We married in the Vaughan room and enjoyed a gorgeous wedding breakfast courtesy of “Cheeky Chilli” in the adjacent Cromwell Hall so come rain or shine I didn’t have to venture outside (it was early March!). The Hall looked magical enhanced by the florist, Springbank Flowers and everyone worked hard behind the scenes both before and during the day to ensure that our day was perfect. We knew we wanted to have our wedding at Talhenbont Hallas soon as we saw it through the clearing in the woods. The amazing building is complemented by the stunning grounds and made it the perfect backdrop for the special day.
