We had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding ceremony and reception in July at Surrey Downs Golf Club, and I highly recommend it as one of the top wedding venues in the country. The property is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and featuring a picturesque pond where ducks gracefully swim—a truly idyllic setting. The team at Surrey Downs was exceptional, providing outstanding service from start to finish. A special mention goes to Rachael, who meticulously handled every detail from the planning stage and ensured that everything went smoothly on our big day. We are especially grateful for their willingness to accommodate the cultural aspects of our wedding, including the steelpan entertainment from Trinidad and Tobago and the traditional log-cutting ceremony from Germany. We had visited a few venues before deciding on Surrey Downs for our wedding reception. We fell in love with Surrey Downs as we loved the beautiful outdoor views and the large space in the Willow suite. Rachael our wedding coordinator at Surrey Downs was extremely professional, polite and understanding. Rachael helped me in making multiple decisions to plan our day. Rachael was a massive support throughout the covid lockdown when we made the tough decision of changing our wedding day date. Throughout the wedding planning, Rachael was attentive to our needs, responding promptly and answering any queries we had in the lead up to our big day. On the day, we had the perfect weather, we were very lucky. The venue looked absolutely beautiful; Rachael assisted our wedding decorators in creating our vision. The wedding breakfast was spot on, our guests were very impressed, the chef did an amazing job. Akila then supported us in the evening and checked to make sure everything ran smoothly. From first contact through to the last friends & family leaving after clearing up the following day, the team at Surrey Downs were calm, professional, reasonably priced and helpful beyond measure. Our guests were a diverse group of extended and blended families aged from a 6 months to 90 years old yet all found something to enjoy in the splendid surroundings of the Surrey Downs Golf Club. The team were amazing - using our decorations, using their decorations, serving specific food needs to designated seats, providing room for the band, space for the DJ - nothing was too much trouble. Car parking was easy for the guests. Photos in the beautiful grounds were co-ordinated by the manager to find the best spots and views. The food was gorgeous - especially the lemon-meringue pie, with really excellent service. When we went and saw Surrey Downs Golf Club we fell in love with it and knew it was where we wanted to hold our wedding. We then were met by Rachael who organises events and were blown away, she was happy and helpful and during times of covid which our wedding took place in she was always on the phone or email responding to our many questions, fears or changes. On the day we were literally blown away, the room was how we imagined it, the weather finally was on our side and every single member of staff was organised, polite and made things run smoothly, even making sure we didn’t see each other prior to the wedding, it was a well organised operation. All of our guests have complimented the wedding, many saying it was the best wedding they have ever been too and just over a week later guests are still speaking about it. The food was absolutely amazing and plentiful. Even though we could not dance etc covid rules, due to the weather we were able to utilise the outside area and you honestly would not have known that covid had altered our wedding, we played music through their sound system and continued right on until it was time for the day to finish. If we could relive that day again we would 100 times over as was just perfect and that was also down to the amazing staff. Could not have faulted Surrey downs. Our original venue cancelled last minute, and we decided to go with Surrey downs, and my god were so glad we did. Couldn’t have faulted them especially during a difficult time! They catered for all our dietary requirements, the food was out of this world! And the service was incredible! We had our wedding reception at surrey downs in october 2014. Zoe and her team are just amazing. Every time i emailed with another question is was never any bother to Zoe or when i wanted another visit or show family/friends around i was always told yes. I was very particular how i wanted everything set out and how it would look and asked if i could come the day/night before to help set up and i wAs allowed although i shouldn't have worried because Zoe knew what she was doing and it was like she could see my vision ev

The venue was absolutely perfect and we were blessed with fine weather on the day, even though it was a bit breezy! The room looked stunning, the food was plentiful and very tasty and everything went smoothly and according to plan.
