We had such an incredible wedding day at Smeetham Hall Barn and would definitely recommend it 10/10. We loved the venue from the first time we visited and we also liked the personal approach and flexibility from the get go (including being able to bring in our own alcohol for the reception drinks and wedding breakfast). We were lucky enough to have our ceremony outside by the pond and it was a perfect day for us and our guests. The grounds are beautiful and so many guests commented on how much they liked the venue. We had so many great photo opportunities with the photographer too which we really enjoyed with our bridal party and family. A BIG thank you to Sophie and Victoria for all their hard work and help. Sophie supported us with the planning from the beginning and was always there to answer our questions. Communication was great throughout and everything around the package and payments was clear and transparent from the start, which we appreciated. They also coordinated with Splinters caterers and communicated with all the other suppliers when they arrived on the day. It meant we didn't have to worry about any of this. On the wedding day Sophie and Victoria were superb! They kept me calm, everything ran smoothly and to plan. We could just enjoy our big day without worrying about anything at all. We had our wedding here on Saturday and it was the most perfect day from start to finish. We were luckily enough to be able to have an outdoor wedding in front of the pond which was just as we had imagined. The grounds are so pretty that we wanted to be able to utilize them. We had Sophie helping us with our wedding plans from start to finish, and she was always willing to answer the many questions we had- thank you! Everything was very clear from the beginning on the package and payment plan so nothing was hidden. They organized everything with the caterers (splinters) when we booked so we didn't have to organize booking them in too. They even contacted our suppliers when required to help get the required insurances etc and also helped with the arrival of suppliers on the day to ensure the day run smoothly and we had nothing to worry about. From the moment we walked into Smeetham Hall Barn we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Not only is it a stunning venue but Sophie and Victoria’s energy perfectly matched ours and we felt right at home. We fell in love with Smeetham Hall Barn the first time we visited. It felt like we were being welcomed into a family. Victoria and Sophie were wonderful coordinators both during the planning phase and on the day itself. We felt very well supported, they replied promptly to our questions and are always calm and professional. The venue itself is stunning. It feels like stepping into a storybook when you drive past the lake and up to the barn. There are endless spaces for guests to enjoy, from the main barn and marquee to the front lawn and courtyard. We loved the no corkage, as this gave us flexibility with which drinks we wanted to bring. The catering company Splinters we're fantastic , the waiting staff were very attentive and there were numerous food options, all of them delicious. The facilities are also excellent. There is ample parking, clean and pretty bathrooms with an accessible loo too, and even a bridal room for getting ready pre-ceremony. We received a list of recommended suppliers and chose our florist, photographer, Ceilidh band, accessories and lighting from this list. We were thrilled with every single vendor. Our photographer had the best day finding beautiful parts of the venue to photograph and we have so many wonderful photos that we'll cherish forever. It is the most beautiful wedding venue, and as soon as we first arrived to visit Smeetham we knew we had found our dream wedding venue. Sophie and Victoria are also so warm and welcoming, we knew we’d be in safe hands with our big day, and couldn’t ask for better individuals to work with. They were always on hand to guide us through the planning process, and quickly responded to emails giving helpful and honest professional advice. Smeetham is a beautiful venue, everything flows perfectly together with the barn, the lawn overlooking the pond and willow trees, the backdrop of the house and being surrounded by the beautiful countryside. Our guests were blown away with how beautiful the venue was. Plenty of photo opportunities everywhere you look. The barn is 16th Century, so has a rustic and historic feel inside which is stunning and so romantic. On our wedding day everything ran smoothly and the day went perfectly as planned. All our guests were well looked after, including those with limited mobility, and all had the most wonderful time - and we couldn’t be happier with all our guests feedback. Smeetham worked amazingly with all our suppliers too, being so professional, organised and accommodating. Therefore we didn’t have anything to worry about anything on our wedding day - we simple enjoyed the day with our loved ones. When we first found Smeetham Hall Barn, we immediately fell in love with it and its beauty. The barn is absolutely gorgeous and provided the perfect setting for our wedding!
