We had our wedding on the hottest day of the year, and all the staff at Houchins were amazing!! Iced water was on hand before the ceremony for guests (something we didn’t plan). I found this venue through Hitched because they allow fire pits and candles. so we viewed and fell in love with it. I did all the booking etc and communicated through email and telephone. I had some odd requests, like food being delivered in the week beforehand that i wanted, hand made chocolates and a meat pie and cheese wedding cake. They didn't bat an eyelid and just made it all happen. then on the day Jayson my planner just literally took care of us. We had our wedding at Houchins on 12th July 2025 and had the most amazing day. Couldn't recommend the venue more, the service beforehand was brilliant, very responsive and organised and helpful. We were lucky to have a sunny day and the venue looked stunning, a great mix of outdoor areas each with their own character and then a great layout indoors, we had so many people say was a great venue it was. It was also so helpful to have the house and honeymoon suite next door, we booked it the night before as well and were so glad we did as it made the morning of the wedding so calm and relaxed. We don't know where to start, from the moment we came in for our first viewing we knew Houchins was the venue for us, classically beautiful, intimate yet so spacious, rustic but so modern with amazing grounds. The houchins team were amazing, super organised, professional, kind and most of all fun. Eloise went above and beyond to make our day exceptional, her attention to detail is impeccable which made our day completely faultless. All of our guests were blown away by the venue and the team, we can not thank them enough. The accommodation is stunning and such a nice touch to be able to stay the night before and of the wedding.
