We had such a reasonably priced package, we didn't really expect too much. We were happy to have the space and know our guests would be fed. But oh boy, they hit it out of the park! So many guests told us over the following days how much they had enjoyed the food! And it really was delicious. Certainly as good as at any nice restaurant and our vegans, gluten free, and vegetarian guests were very happy with their meals. We sent everything for the tables up the day before with instructions and it was all laid out beautifully. They listened to us and went out of their way to accommodate our choice of arrival cocktails and our guests bringing pugs for overnight stays. We asked for as close to a food waste free event as possible and everything was stored and boxed for us to take home including several chicken dinners! It was amazing and just perfect for us. We had a few additional items like a photo booth; the staff were very happy to help us plan where these would go. The staff would make space for anything we wanted. The room was set up just the way we wanted it, we were able to play our favourite music during the meal. They catered for people with allergies and dietary requirements. I was gluten free, had a great meal. However, I wasn’t catered for when we went for the menu tasting. Children were only given a 2 course meal instead of a 3 course meal but with orange juice as a starter which parents complained about. The disco was great, played all the music we wanted. A problem we had was some people weren’t aware of the cake cutting announcements and when slices were available. We had a lot of gifts given to us, so many the table got so full that people couldn’t see the guest book etc. When asked the hotel staff moved the gifts straight away to a locked room. We didn’t have to help clear up which was amazing. We were promised a memory box which we are yet to receive and its been 6 weeks. The communication before the wedding wasn’t great. One meeting was planned a few days before the wedding and the person wasn’t there, we met with others which was fine but seemed like they were not ready for us.
