We were lucky enough to have our wedding here in October 2019 and everything was perfect. It's an absolutely stunning venue and many of our guests commented on how amazing it was and how good the food was. The staff are extremely attentive and were excellent from the very beginning. On the day they helped us set up our decorations and were very good at communicating with us and letting us know what was happening and any decision

We had one of two of our weddings here last year. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, many of our guests said the same, and is ultimately what sold it to me as our wedding venue. However, in comparison to the other venue we held our second ceremony at there was quite a disparity in service and how the day unfolded. If you have a large family & circle of friends to help you organise your wedding then this may work well for you but due to my circumstances I single handedly organised our wedding day, and can say I did not find the 'wedding co-ordinator' much help at all. It's not very ideal for staff at the wedding to approach us twice on the day in the middle of our meal to ask what we wanted to do, or to point out that the music had stopped playing. You can stay at the house itself on your wedding night if you have a minimum amount of guests who would also be staying with you (which we would have loved to have done, but this is understandable). I expressed our interest in potentially staying the night without being told of the minimum guest number; however most of our guests had already arranged accommodation. I communicated this yet the 5+ rooms plus other undiscussed charges were added to our invoice, which I had to ask to be removed. It felt as though communication dampened once the full balance was paid. Some mistakes were made with our wedding breakfast, bearing in mind we had a menu tasting prior to the day - e.g kale instead of spinach, strawberry mousse instead of strawberry cheesecake, neither of which we would have ever selected. However, the rest of the food was delicious and I don't feel it was any fault of the chefs, perhaps it was a miscommunication. Having paid £100 for a menu tasting (which was free for 6 people at our other venue) I would have hoped we'd received what was discussed, and if this wasn't possible for it to be communicated before the day. Carlton Towers was the first venue my husband and I viewed for our wedding . We knew instantly that it was the perfect place for us to bring all of our friends and family. The venue is hidden away on a large piece of private land, with an impressive drive onto the property for guests to take in the grandeur of the estate. One of the great things about Carlton Towers, is that you get exclusive use on your big day, The venue also has many bedrooms which can be used on the night of the wedding (or a very nearby Travelodge for around £30 per night). The wedding Coordnator, Charlotte, is fantastic. What Charlotte doesn't know about weddings, or the history of Carlton Towers, isn't worth knowing. Charlotte helped us plan the wedding from day 1 & was present during the day, too. Carlton Towers understands that a lot of planning goes into the big day, and make it manageable by by inviting you to the venue on several occasions to meet with the coordinator. We were able to decorate the entire venue the day before the wedding, & were allowed to use the bedrooms to get ready in the morning. Carlton Towers have delivered many weddings here and this shows in their professionalism and exceptional delivery. The wedding toastmaster is around during the whole wedding to ensure that things run smoothly and on time. The food is exceptional and they catered very well for our multi-cultural wedding. Sarah and myself had a fantastic day at Carlton Towers, from the moment we walked in and were shown around, we knew that out of the 15 we'd seen, this one knocked the rest into touch. Funnily enough, the only reason that Carlton Towers came to our attention was through word of mouth of two work colleagues who had or were to be married there. They praised the staffs professionalism, the high standard of the onsite rooms, the absolutely majestic venue lay out and décor and the exquisite food on offer. We can only echo those comments - being recommended by word of mouth is a credit to the Carlton Towers team, I truly believe that your team and the venue have set the bar very high and offer an experience that many of the other Yorkshire venues can only hope to emulate. From ourselves booking in with Carlton Towers, we found the level of service and communication offer by Charlotte to be excellent, there was no such thing as a stupid question and she really did help to put Sarah's mind at ease with the timings, tables plans, numbers etc. On the actual day, we'd like to extend a big thanks to the Carlton Towers team for making the event run like a Swiss watch, Steph and Charlotte worked very hard and we are extremely thankful to you both.
