The hotel where we had planned to have our reception unexpectedly cancelled our reservation, and luckily the Oxford Spires was more than able to fulfil our needs at such short notice. The planning process was accelerated, but this was handled with ease and expertise without mistakes. Despite the wide variety of dietary requirements and revisions to the plans made, Lisa remained unflappable. We had full use of the outdoor space and exclusive use of the bar area; this worked out well for us as we had exceedingly good weather on the day. Many of our guests commented on the location of the hotel and its grounds, and I heard from several of our guests who were resident at the hotel that they enjoyed their stay.

We chose to have our ceremony on 4th Oct at the Spires Oxford. Charlotte, the Hotel's Coordinator was professional and attentive, and the whole team on the day were simply fab. Nothing was too much trouble and they met our every need. The hidden gem which they do not highlight yet is that you can take a 3 min walk down to the River Thames and be collected for a boat trip up the Thames ( booked externally). A real bonus. We were married in Oxford Centre and held out reception at the Oxford Spires Hotel. I cant express how grateful we are to the staff at the hotel who made everything run smoothly and gave us a fantastic day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We had drinks and canapés in the gardens before being spoilt with a four course delicious meal. Then we danced the night away- everything was so perfect and romantic. The Wedding Co-ordinator helped us with all of the planning and the package included a Toastmaster who was just brilliant on the day! We choose the Oxford Spires because it was so close to Oxford city center but surrounded by green fields and flower filled gardens. Some of our guests stayed for the whole weekend and used the swimming pool and gym which they said was great. All of the guests could park easily which meant one less thing for me and Paul to worry about! On the day, the staff were amazing. so friendly and efficient. I felt so special and I was relaxed when i looked around and saw all of my guests having a great time. One more thing is that the food is beautiful. The prices are so reasonable for food of this kind! First rate. O

What a wonderful place for a wedding the Oxford spires was. It was always our day, not what they would do. The wedding co-ordinator, Fiona was so helpful nothing was a problem for her. The toastmaster was so helpful and made the day run smoothly, even helping the young photographer who was the daughter of the best man. The wedding breakfast meal was wonderful, the food was so good. Being able to not stick to one set meal helped the day go fabulously.The evening was well run too, having our own separate bar. The buffet was fabulous too with food keeping on coming. The bedroom was special too. They could not have done any better
