Unfortunately, our experience with this wedding venue was very disappointing. The venue itself has potential, but the cleanliness and overall standard were not what we expected for a wedding venue. Several areas were noticeably dirty and did not feel as though they had been properly cleaned or prepared for our event. We also experienced multiple power cuts, which caused significant disruption and added unnecessary stress on what should have been a special and memorable day. For a wedding, reliable electricity and basic venue standards should be a given, and unfortunately this was not our experience. From the start Leanne was perfect, all our vendors showed up and she kindly got them sorted and where to start, she made the day very smooth, the weather was perfect and dry so all our outdoor plans could go ahead as planned, it truly is a magical place. From the planning stages right through to the big day, your support, organisation, and attention to detail were absolutely invaluable. You handled everything with such professionalism and warmth, and that truly helped us feel at ease throughout the whole process. The venue was simply stunning — the perfect, picturesque backdrop for our celebration. It honestly looked even more magical than we had imagined. Everything ran seamlessly, and so many of our guests commented on how welcoming and well-organised the day felt — a true testament to your amazing team

The owner Chris, will go above and beyond to ensure your day goes perfectly. He is backed up by a small but capable team. The venue is the perfect place to have your special day if you love the outdoors. The fact that everything is co-located, means you can have your ceremony, reception and dance party all in one place, but gives all your guests the freedom to roam around the grounds to have a private moment or a rest by the firepit, as well as allowing parents to let their kids run around without fear of them running into a road. We were very hands on with all the planning which played perfectly into this venue's strengths, we had the perfect day. One of the big benefits (other than the amazing setting) is the quality of the sound system which comes included in the cost. It is perfectly balanced for your DJ to play loud music which is kept in the dancefloor area due to all the special sound management Tournerbury have done. This means that your older guests who may not wish to have their hearing aids blown out, can very comfortably sit at their table and still be a part of the party, whilst having a normal conversation. Another example of the flexibility of the team at Tournerbury is that we had our ceremony on the harbour lawn which was not initially pitched to us as an option, but we loved the space so much that we worked with Chris to get everything perfect there. Our photographer (Adela Photography) used the entire site for our multiple photoshoots throughout the day and produced some of the best pictures of us we have ever seen. From the harbour to deep in the woods as well as amazing sunset photos at the ponds. There were no hidden fees or last minute charges which is something a lot of people overlook (they do have optional extras which you can add to make the place look a bit nicer, but its totally a personal preference). The cottage is a good space for the bride and her party to get set up, the only downside here (which is totally our fault for not reading the contract properly) is that if there is a wedding the day before & the previous couple spend the night there, the cottage will not be made available until 11am where as you have access from 8am on the day. If you're lucky and there is no wedding the day before, Chris has stated multiple times that we would be able to come and set up the day before the wedding. We cannot recommend Tournerbury highly enough! The fact that we could tailor our wedding to pick and choose the suppliers we wanted really appealed to us rather than having a package booking. Chris & Lucy were so helpful with the planning leading up to the wedding, answering any questions we had, as well as communicating the T&Cs up front. Lucy's attention to detail was perfect on the day, helping everything run smoothly without us having to worry about anything, she really added a personal touch and was very supportive of some sensitive situations. Ella was a great help in the evening to put all our things together ready for us to collect the next day. The day itself was magical, being able to walk around the beautiful grounds for photos and utilise all the space that was exclusively ours for the day was amazing. From the first time we viewed Tournerbury we knew it was special, and we ended up having the most amazing wedding reception there! The setting is absolutely stunning with the mix of forest, lawn and sea, and feels secluded and private. It is very much a ‘blank slate’ venue, and we were a little worried at times about how the marquee would look with our decorations, but it looked beautiful on the day with minimal effort!
