The White Hart Hotel

The White Hart Hotel hosted our wedding in St Albans in July 2026 - for afternoon canapés, drinks, and cake-cutting, and then for a sit-down three-course meal followed by dancing for our reception. Choosing them as our venue was the best decision! Right from the start, Fabio and Sue were warm and welcoming. We already knew the building itself was beautiful and iconic within St Albans and also that the food was stellar, as we had eaten there before. Having spoken to multiple possible venues, it was clear that Fabio and Sue stood out. They clearly cared deeply about making our day special. They were kind, positive, and friendly, but also detail-orientated, hard-working, and conscientious with all the jigsaw pieces that were required to make the day what it was. Most of all, they were so accommodating. We made a document with all the plans and timings, and made multiple phone calls to smooth out the finer details, and they really took the time to bring our vision to life so beautifully! The day itself was spectacular. The rooms were decorated gorgeously as we had planned, the garden was very helpful particularly given the hot weather, the food was standout (all our guests commented on this - shout out to the head chef), and the staff on the day (including Sue and Girardin) were professional, efficient, and had a lovely manner. It couldn't have been more of a success. St Albans is very lucky to house the White Hart Hotel, and I highly recommend visiting there and choosing them to host such an important day! We were celebrating our daughter's wedding in the hotel and all the guests who needed overnight accommodation stayed here. We chose this venue for our wedding reception as we wanted somewhere more informal. We had a wonderful day and we would like to thank the staff who were fantastic. We booked out the whole hotel for our guests, so that worked out perfectly. The buffet food was lovely, with many compliments by all who attended. The restaurant was converted into an event room where we had a DJ set up, and was surprisingly large. We had 80 or so guests but we could have potentially invited more as there was plenty of room.
