We had the most incredible wedding day at The Penventon Park Hotel on June 13th, 2026. From the very beginning of our planning process, the Penventon team was outstanding, ensuring that every detail was looked after so we could relax and enjoy our special day. The venue itself is beautiful and provided a stunning backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. With 110 guests in attendance, the staff hosted us flawlessly, and the level of service throughout the entire day was top-notch. It was the perfect celebration to mark our 14 years together. What can I say? My new husband and I got married here and from start to finish everything was perfection. We began our planning journey with Sally and continued with Jacquelyn. Everything down to the last detail was meticulously arranged. On the day, the staff consistently checked in, had food ready on time, were so attentive and supportive. Nothing was too much trouble. They even added extra suprise details like bringing us mimosas the morning of along with all the breakfast food we could have dreamt of. The following morning they created a separate space for us to sit down with the guests who stayed overnight. We cannot express how grateful we are to everybody. Jacquelyn and the team were great and created the wedding we asked for. They were open to anything we asked flexible when we adjusted our plans They took all the stress away in organising a wedding. My son got married on saturday and we had the reception at the Penventon. From the very start with Nigel, Emily & David at reception the day was perfect. Ian & his team provided top service, the meal was very tasty and piping hot and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed the night in a spotlessly clean room and very comfortable bed and the breakfast was very good, some stayed on for a swim and we left the hotel very chilled. I have attended several functions & receptions at the Penventon and not had a bad one

Our daughter got married on the 27th August and had her reception at Penventon for 133 guests in the day and 250 in the evening, 28 years to the day since our own wedding there. We had our reception here on the 18th June 2016 and were absolutely blown away by everything. The food and service were amazing, every member of staff was so helpful, we could not fault a thing. Ian & Amy are just brilliant. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and kept saying how great everything was. We stayed 2 × nights for a wedding, dinner on the first night in the hotel restaurant was fabulous and great value. Three courses were £27 which seemed very reasonable for the quality food and service. The wedding we attended on the Saturday was wonderful and staff went above and beyond to ensure the day went smoothly

When we first arrived at The Penventon Park Hotel,on a very busy New Years Day, lunch service in full flow and with a request for help for our possible wedding venue, we were greeted by Nigel,(the Hotels charming Reception Manager) with an exceptional, warm welcome, was taken on a tour of the hotel and its excellent bedrooms, was invited to a glass of wine and given more time and attention than I am sure they could really spare. Though they were always very busy during our wedding weekend and the weeks leading up to it, we felt as though we were the only people in the Hotel! In planning a wedding from Oxford, we were tentative about the stress of being so far away but were soon encouraged by Louise,(the Hotels remarkable wedding coordinator) not to worry, she would help us every step of the way. It was evident we had stumbled across something special! She did SO much more than this. Nothing was too much trouble, for Louise, Nigel or anyone. Paul (the Hotels charismatic General Manager) ran through our hopes for our wedding day, spending a whole evening in busy scribbling and endless amazing suggestions to make our day.....ours. Suffice to say, our wedding day has now come and gone (we married there on 29th March,2013) but the magic that was created at the hotel by every one of its warm, professional and dedicated staff, from bar to bedrooms, Spa to superb waiting staff, will be recalled with tremendous gratitude, with the fondest of memories that touched each one of our guests, friends and family, yo

My partner and I have been together for Twelve Years so decided it was time to tie the knot.We have lived down in Cornwall for over Twelve years here in Redruth or close by so The Penventon seemed to be the best place for the Wedding and boy did we make the right choice.Right from the start when we had the first meeting with Nigel we knew all would go well,he could not have been more helpful with my partner's demands and was always there to contact by phone or face to face.Nigel,the rooms manager was also very helpful as we needed to book 12 rooms for guests coming down from up Country and not one off them had cause to complain and all said they could not find any fault. All the staff could not have done anymore to make us and all our Guests feel welcome. The food at the reception was second to none and again everyone there had plenty and had no complaints. My husband and i got married at The Penventon 07/06/13, and only have amazing things to say about this hotel and their staff. The hotel itself is a beautiful venue and the wedding package they offer is outstanding.The food at The Penventon is exquisite. The staff are polite and professional with special mentions to Mandy on reception who patiently assisted us organising rooms and offered a friendly welcome everytime . Nigel for his help and friendly manner everytime we went in , nothing was ever too much trouble. On the day, we arrived rather windswept but were able to take some fabulous photographs in the main entrance; alongside the Christmas tree in the foyer and on the lovely staircase. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and our welcome drinks were brought to us while we sat in the lounge choosing our food. We were shown to a lovely table and were served with an amazing lunch. The food was superb and unlike the wedding we had initially planned, we were able to choose anything from their varied menu which kept everyone very happy. A man wearing an anorak came rushing over to our table during lunch to congratulate us and our puzzled expression led him to explain he was the proprietor (David Pascoe) and he'd just arrived and heard we were here and he wanted to come and wish us well - another nice touch! Our cake had been delivered and was presented to us with our coffee in the lounge area. The wedding co-ordinator came out and offered to stage some wedding photos for us, using the amazing furniture and took the photos for us. We checked into out room after lunch and had been upgraded to a suite... the room was amazing, a huge four-poster bed, full length mirror, patio doors out into the garden, an air-mat bath (jacuzzi), spotlessly clean and welcoming. In the morning we were warmly greeted and they asked how our first morning as husband and wife was. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order, we both had an omelette and it was excellent. It is with Heart felt thanks that we post on this page, to say a MASSIVE, MASSIVE, MASSIVE, thank you to you all, for what can only be described as a truly amazing Wedding Day. Several people commented & complimented on how wonderful the Food was & how helpful & attentive the Staff were throughout the whole day, along with how Downton-esque the Hotel looked & performed as a Wedding Venue. Please all be exceptionally proud in what you all & the Hotel achieved on the 29th October, as it was greatly appreciated, not only by myself & Amanda, but by everybody how attended during the day & evening.
