Getting married here was the worst mistake we have made. We were let down by our original venue as they closed down due to Covid. After much searching we thought we found the perfect venue. We were wrong. We did have a wedding co-ordinator who seemed ok but she decided to tell us about a week before our wedding that she was not going to be there as she was attending a Mcfly concert with her mates. Not very professional. She also informed us she was leaving the venue for another job the next week, alarm bells started ringing but with 1 week to go we were unable to do anything about this. We was assured she would however be there to set up our reception and someone else capable who knew what we wanted would take over. Evidently there was no one capable of this. When we arrived at the venue no one was directing our guests, guests were trying to check in to rooms which the venue had double booked and disabled guests were checked into rooms upstairs (with no lift). We was promised a MC, a microphone to use for speeches and Bluetooth speakers to play our own music whilst food was being served. None of which were available. We ended up having to make most our own announcements and constantly asking staff for services agreed to which never materialised. When the room was set up the top table didn't have any favors on and the sweet cart was placed not fixed together (something else that was agreed to) leaving it to fall over onto my 3yr old later into the evening. There was a power cut shortly after our arrival due to staff forceful handling of a light fitting which was not rectified for hours meaning our speeches could not be filmed and the DJ could not start until 9pm! We had paid for him to start from 7pm. Food was severely delayed and not what was agreed to after our tasting session. In advance of the day we agreed to put money behind the bar with the condition we would be notified when it hit certain amounts (£500, £1000 etc.) this was confirmed on the day. However, at the end of the night we were presented with a bar bill well over our intended spend. To add insult to injury they ran out of draught beer half way through the night followed by bottle beer and then added 20% service charge to the final bill when guests were getting their own drinks from the bar! The next day we were also informed of how guests rooms were not cleaned on their check-in including beds not even being changed or made and rooms being dirty in general. For the breakfast there was apparently no cooked food available leaving guests either not having breakfast or having to wait long periods of time for food to be replenished which was only done after complaints were made to reception staff. Whilst talking to another hotel guest in the breakfast queue it was mentioned that nothing had changed since her last visit as this visit was a free night stay for her been as her last stay was so terrible. All in all a very disappointing venue, unfortunately used for our wedding reception

After we cancelled our big fat indian wedding at The Manor due to covid restrictions we decided to move up the wedding to April 2021. Charlie was amazing and accommodating and always there to help to make sure everything was how we wanted it. She was always checking the restriction updates and updating us on the guidelines. We were blessed with sunny hot weather and moved the ceremony outside last minute. The whole Manor team helped us on the day and made everything go smoothly. Our guests stayed for drinks on the terrace after

We had our wedding reception at The Manor Elstree recently. Charlie, the events manager was a delight to work with from start to finish. Due to the covid situation, our plans had to change last minute and all decisions had to be made in 6 weeks. Charlie was extremely responsive to all our queries and kept on top of all the changes we made without having to be told twice. Nothing was too much trouble and we always felt listened to. The venue and grounds are beautiful and provided plenty of opportunities for us and our guests to take pictures. The reception room was set up nicely and the food was excellent. We had a gr

After our previous venue closed down, we were extremely lucky to discover the Elstree Manor. The venue itself was stunning with plenty of outdoor space and great views over London. A hidden gem which ourselves and many other local guests never knew existed. The venue is beautiful but the thing which really sets this place apart are the service. Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful and knew what they were doing. Our Wedding specialist Charlie guided us from the very start on our options, how it all works and listened to our preferences. There was a real personal touch, it didn't feel like you were buying a standard package but instead a premium, tailored service. Communication was excellent throughout, and with all the challenges that a wedding during Covid presented right up to the last minute, Charlie and her team we

The planning was meticulous two people spring to mind Nimo, and Teresa, Nimo who was there on the day was the chief coordinator and made sure there were no glitches, lots of nice touches added beyond the contractual requirements, the Mayfair suite is a dream the views are breathtaking and the grounds are well tended, the wedding reception was held at the Arkley downstairs and the spillover into the grounds added to the feeling that all was right with the world, what a way to have ones wedding blessed, the wedding breakfast was something to die for and the comments from

We booked the exclusive hire of The Manor and had such a wonderful day. Venue is stunning, had so many lovely comments. Loved how we could use all the different spaces and that guests could stay over to extend the celebrations (and story swapping) to the morning after. We have had such an amazing time over the last two weeks, starting with our big day on the 1st April. It all went perfectly, and we have such great memories from the day. We are really happy that we choose Laura Ashley The Manor as our wedding venue, I don't think we could have asked for anything more. Thank you again for all your help and assistance leading up to the event, and also to Julian for orchestrating it on the day. Also, huge thanks to all the staff at the Laura Ashley who made it such a great day, and who have been incredibly welcoming every time we visited. Lots of our guests commented on what a great experience they had on the day, and what a great venue it is for a wedding. We also had guests saying that it

From the moment that I telephoned the hotel to enquire about a wedding, I was overwhelmed with the level of customer service I received. On arrival at the hotel, I was extremely impressed with the venue. To find such a beautiful hotel, with a bespoke design, which could happily cater for all of our needs is a very special place. We worked closely with Frances leading up to the day. Having her to guide us though the process was priceless and her help and input meant that the organisation of the day was never stressful. She also kept in contact with all of our suppliers so that the day ran smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding, we can’t find any fault with the venue. On the day we were looked after by Paulo and the team. The service was impeccable! The staff made our day so enjoyable, from bringing up breakfast in our room, to coordinating our suppliers and dealing with every aspect of the day so that we could relax and enjoy it. The food was excellent, one of the best meals we have had in such a long time. How the chef managed to prepare 80 three course meals and have them all ready with no delay I do not know. All of our guest commented on the venue, the food and the staff. Having exclusive use of the hotel made us feel like we had our wedding in our family home, surrounded by all of our loved ones, where everybody could just relax and enjoy the day. We would recommend the exclusive use package to anyone planning a wedding. We wanted a classy, elegant and modern wedding, the Laura Ashley delivered over and above on every aspect of this vision.
