It can only be described as our dream venue ! Our party was small, only 12 guests and us two as a couple and we need a beautiful space to host our wedding ceremony. Firstly I want to express my gratitude to you Barbara for being so calm, relaxed and reassuring throughout the whole process of planning our Wedding reception at your pub. Throughout the year when we met you made us feel very welcome and all our needs and wants for the day were met. Andy and myself could not have asked for a better day weather wise and so the day was sure to go well with the use of the Garden Room and then moving up to use the Reading Room in the evening. I also found it really useful to continue having the Garden Room for the evening to enable the older guests to sit downstairs and catch up over cups of tea; my Dad was especially vocal about how courteous and generous the staff team were in making cups of tea and making us all feel very welcome. Thanks so much to you all for making our Wedding Day go so smoothly and feel so special. I actually didn't realise that we didn't have the whole pub! Sorry if we disturbed any of your other customers! We were bowled over with the generous hospitality we received upon arrival and I was not expecting so much help in the fact that your staff and yourself offered glasses of prosecco and bruschetta around the garden to our guests. It was lovely. The food was exceptional, it flew off the buffet table and it looked and tasted delicious; thank you so much. The bar staff were friendly and humorous throughout the day and evening and all the guests were promptly served. All our guests commented on how lovely the pub and garden is and we'll be sure to visit again for food with our pals. The music system upstairs was brilliant, no problems what so ever and we all enjoyed a great dance to finish off the fantastic day.
