We were overjoyed with our wedding at the Buttery & Glasshouse! Chloe was our wedding coordinator and we can’t thank her enough for making our day what it was. She was incredibly professional and organised. We had a sudden downpour during our ceremony and everything was sorted without any fuss so we could continue the day without a problem. One of our suppliers was late and Chloe was working away in the background to sort this out for us whilst we got ready. Chloe also responded to our queries very quickly and helpfully leading up to the wedding. The venue was perfect for our guest numbers (33). We loved that there were the different areas of the venue but with everything so close together. Wrotham village right outside the pub was also a great picture spot. The

From the moment we first viewed the venue, we knew it was perfect and exactly what we were after. From having the whole venue to ourselves for the entire day, to being able to prepare the day before from 3pm. Chloe was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, she was incredible on the day as we had an issue with our photographer which delayed the ceremony, kept us calm and ensured us everything would be ok, and it was. We had several meetings with Chloe before the big day and was in constant contact via emails and messages from very early on in our booking. The venue itself were very hospitable when ever we visited and had a meal or a drink. The buttery was the perfect setting and size for our ceremony, the weather was perfect for canapés and drinks on the decking after, we chose the smokehouse canapés and these went down very well with our guests. The wedding breakfast was held in the glasshouse and although the day was very hot, the glasshouse was nice and cool with the air conditioning and then we had the roof opened up which brought a fresh breeze in. Food was once again amazing and very well presented. After the wedding breakfast we were meant to use the pub before evening guests arrived and whilst they prepared the glasshouse for the evening but due to the delay to our ceremony and us popping down the road for some photos in a nearby field we didn’t personally get time to go in for a drink and do a game we had planned. The evening party was great with everyone congregating between the dancefloor in the glasshouse and the decking area outside. We asked the venue to ensure people used the bar outside and try and keep groups out of the pub bar due to us wanting everyone to enjoy the dj and get up and dance, which we felt the venue done very well. The pizzas went down a treat with many guests saying how good they were and we found we had plenty of food left over so was very well catered. The rooms for the night were great, our room especially. We loved the quirkiness of the uneven and wonky floors and low ceilings and how they have kept it as true to its age. The rooms were all clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was very good with plenty of coffee and tea. All our decor had been nicely boxed up and made the whole process of leaving the venue very quick and easy which was great as we didn’t feel rushed in anyway. Overall, we can highly recommend The Buttery and Glasshouse with many of our guests

This was the perfect venue to get married. When we were looking for a venue to get married, we had a few requirements we were searching for. The Buttery and Glasshouse was the first venue we visited and in the end we returned to the Buttery and Glasshouse because none of the other venues we toured lived up to this one. We definitely made the right choice because our wedding day (and lead up to it) was beyond perfect. I cannot recommend this venue enough The venue The venue itself is the perfect mix between old and new. The restaurant and Buttery have a charming old English countryside inn vibe to it, while the Glasshouse and decking area feel very modern and sleek. There is almost no extra decor required to make every space look absolutely stunning. There are plenty of photo opportunities onsite and just a few minutes walk from the venue. The iconic facade of the Bull Hotel is one of my favorite photos of the day It is also really easy to get to from London, which was perfect for us as all of our guests were from out of town (we’re based in Brighton and had lots of family traveling from abroad). It is not very far from London and yet has the feel of being in the English countryside The services Many of our guests commented about how calm my partner and I were the day of our wedding and the reason for that is because everything was taken care of. The team at the Buttery and Glasshouse did the set up for the ceremony and had the tables set and ready for dinner. Emma, our coordinator had done all the preparations and managed the day flawlessly. There was literally nothing for us to stress about because it was all in hand. When we were searching for a venue, we wanted somewhere that would host the ceremony and reception at the same place, that did the catering and bar, and had some onsite accommodation. They did all of this and took the stress off of our plate The food was also extraordinary. We ate at the restaurant the night before for our rehearsal dinner, had a full English breakfast in the morning, and then had dinner on the day of our wedding of course and everything we ate was delicious (especially the beef brisket if you have the hot fork buffet!). During our engagement, we’d had dinner at the restaurant a few times, and the food was always delicious The staff Saving the best for last: everyone who worked at the Buttery and Glasshouse was so accommodating and friendly. Obviously Emma who was our coordinator was a super star. She was engaged with us throughout the wedding planning process. I had gone into our 6-week meeting with her feeling stressed about how much was still to organize, but after meeting with her, I felt completely at ease in her hands. She answered all of our questions and walked us through all the details. My favorite thing was that when my now-husband asked her about an obscure spirit that he likes, without hesitation she said she’ll get a bottle of it for the wedding. We had a relatively long engagement and had booked the venue over a year in advance, so we had a long time to work with various people. Leigh-Anne originally gave us a tour of the venue and Catherine helped us with some of the early planning and both of them were so excited for us when we arrived for the wedding. James took great care of us at the hotel while we were staying the night before, and the bartenders (whose names I unfortunately cant remember!) could not have been more attentive. Everyone

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue than The Buttery and Glasshouse. From the moment we started planning, the team were exceptional, but a special thank you has to go to our wedding coordinator, Emma. She was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Her support, guidance, and organisation throughout the entire planning process were second to none, and on the day itself she was invaluable. Knowing everything was in such capable hands meant we could completely relax, be present, and enjoy every moment with our family and friends. Our wedding day was genuinely the happiest day imaginable, and so much of that was thanks to Emma and the wonderful team. Everything ran so seamlessly, and we’ve had so many compliments from our guests about how smoothly the day flowed. We never had to worry about a thing because Emma had thought of absolutely everything - even a solution to our melting cake in the scorching temperatures! The venue itself is stunning, the food was incredible, and every member of staff made us and our guests feel so welcome. We can’t thank everyon

From the first meeting we had at The Glasshouse and Buttery, we knew this was our venue. Every interaction with the different members of staff was brilliant - they were all so helpful and kind. Our wedding coordinator, Chloe, was especially brilliant - she made the whole process so easy and I completely trusted her to make sure the day ran smoothly. The absolutely most PERFECT and magical day! We had our wedding here recently with Chloe being our coordinator. She was so lovely and helpful throughout the build up and on the day. Everything went so smoothly, we couldn't have asked for anything better. We stayed the night before with guests which made it even more special. Food on both days 10 out of 10. Besides the stunning location, the value for money is really incredible. There are so many options for your day, and so much is included and already on site which makes planning a breeze. Every wedding is able to look so different and be so personalized to your tastes which makes it even more special. We were also able to have our French bulldog be part of our day which was amazing. We got married in the Buttery and had our reception on the patio. We then had our wedding breakfast & party in the Glasshouse. People were able to mingle in the pub and also stayed on site. We had a welcome dinner the might before which was such a great way to get everyone together. It honestly was a dream come true. Emma and the team were also incredible an

I recently enjoyed a function at The Buttery and Glasshouse. Where do I start? I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Emma looked after me from start to finish and she was fantastic. Nothing was ever a problem and she made the whole evening incredible. The building itself is stunning and the setting is lovely, with plenty of parking which made things easy for everyone. We enjoyed welcome drinks of wine and beer, followed by a stunning pizza buffet that all of my guests loved. I also stayed at the hotel and the room was spotless and comfortable. Bre

This was the first and only place we looked at when deciding on our venue and we loved it from the start. Emma and the team are fantastic to work with and made our day very special, we could not have done it with out them. From the start they informed us of everything and responded to anything we needed and made sure the day ran smoothly. The venue itself is stunning and we did all the decorations and flowers ourselves, it does not need much. It did rain on the day but this did not matter one bit, in fact it actually brought the party to life and added to a better atmosphere inside the pub. The food is incredible and our guests are all still saying how amazing it was and what a fantastic venue! I would not hesitate to book The Bull for your wedding day, you will not regret it. We also loved the flexibility of the venue being able to do what we like to suit us as a couple. I just wish we could do it all again and we will e

We loved having our wedding day (and weekend) at The Bull Hotel. We decided to go with the weekend package. We arrived the Friday and had a lovely dinner with our closest family and friends and stayed until the Sunday morning, after a full fry up! We enjoyed the whole process, from coordinating everything in the lead up to the weekend itself - nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all lovely and very professional. We had our Wedding Breakfast in The Glasshouse which was simply gorgeous, modern but with rustic furnishings, you can add your own style as you wish. We kept ours very simple as its so stunning to look at! We then had our evening reception in the Buttery and was perfect for dancing the night away! We can't thank the team enough,

We had our wedding on the first Saturday of June 2025 and had the full package. It was a magical day for us. We had our wedding at The Buttery and Glasshouse this July and could not recommend them enough. From our first viewing of the venue, to our wedding day and everything in between - the service was phenomenal. Each member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our day was effortless and they certainly took away a lot of our wedding stress. We had a lovely family meal the day before our wedding and found the stay and dine option helped settle the pre wedding nerves. Emma was incredible with organising our day, so much effort to ensure everything was thought of. I honestly believe our day couldn't have gone any better. We received so many compliments from our guests about how stunning the venue was. We felt the venue had the perfect mixture of feeling intimate but also plenty of space for our guests to enjoy the outside area and play some games. Emma was amazing at answering our emails, so incredibly efficient and unders

We recently got married at the Buttery and Glasshouse and we had the most amazing day. From the months leading up to the wedding with all of the meticulous planning, Catherine worked with us to help our vision come to life and even helped us think of things that we hadn’t even considered. From the moment we saw this venue we knew it was perfect for us. Catherine and the team worked so hard to make our day truly special and couldn’t have been more helpful, kind and accommodating. The food was delicious, the day flowed beautifully and our guests commented on how relaxed the day felt. We could decorate the venue as we pleased which gave it a really personal feel and we had plenty of time the day before to set it all up. The team looked after us from the very beginning to the very end with regular meetings and contact. We had an amazing day that we will never forget. Thank you so much!
