We had our Wedding reception at The Birch Hotel in 2019, we couldn’t fault the process from the start. Izzy and her team were absolutely amazing in organising our big day at the hotel which took a lot of pressure of us both, leading up to the big day. On arrival to the hotel everyone was greeted with a glass of Prosecco in the lounge and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The wedding breakfast was fantastic with three different options to choose from which catered for all our guests very well especially those who had dietary requirements. The Birch organised our DJ and Photo Booth operators, where the staff were so professional throughout the night. The hot fork buffet in the evening was again absolutely amazing with more than enough food to go around for 120 guests, and the staff continuously topping up the food. We had a fantastic time getting married at The Birch Hotel, it was a wonderful location with lots of beautiful Victorian rooms, lots of lovely intrigue and architecture. But our experience started long before. We went to lots of locations and only once we got to the Birch did we feel truly relaxed and happy - and that is all down to their staff, including the fabulous Izzy, who is the calmest wedding planner you will ever meet. They made the whole thing so easy, enjoyable and really made us feel valued. The staff are polite, friendly, they give way to you as you walk past, they smile, they all say hello and they all take pride in their jobs. We knew this was the place for us. The planning process was great, Izzy knows all the tips and tricks, she is very well experienced and has a book of great contacts, all of which we used and all of whom were super. While there is a couple of standard packages available, the flexibility within that means you can really make it yours. We had a great time doing the 'taste test' and were tremendously looked after by Nick as well as the chef who is not only talented but also generous with his portion sizes. When the day came, we knew everything would be looked after and it was - even two small hiccups (by us), Izzy and her team's quick thinking solved so that nobody was any the wiser. All of our guests were impressed by the customer service, the food and the general experience, we only had positive feedback. We got married in the Sussex Room which is beautiful when laid out, had photos in the garden infront of the door to oval room and the classic architecture and then had drinks in the reception area and finally our wedding breakfast and reception in the Courtyard room, where we danced the night away. We all stayed at the hotel after, making the experience complete from beginning to end. Amazing….The Birch hotel is a lovely venue for a wedding or any occasion. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Words can’t express how much they made our day so special without stress. Thanks to Izzy -wedding coordinator who was outstanding/ amazing, she made us feel very relaxed about the arrangements and planning for our big day. Wow what can I say! Izzy, Nick & Patrick where incredible from start to finish. We had been speaking with Izzy for 2 years before our big day and she was always quick to reply to my emails and calls. Izzy was always so friendly, happy and bubbly and kept my crazy mind at ease throughout. On our wedding day Nick and Patrick took over and it was absolutely seamless I couldn't fault them or there service at all. Once again both where incredibly helpful and friendly. The food and service provided from the rest of the team was secound to none in fact so many people commented on how lovely the food was. My husband and I were looking for a wedding venue locally, as we had just moved to the area. We didn’t have a huge budget, but wanted to have something that met all the requirements we wanted the venue to have and for our guests on the day to be able to relax and enjoy themselves. The wedding package was adjusted for our needs as we had a specific number of guests for the ceremony followed by more guests in the evening for the reception. Izzy at the hotel was very helpful and we managed to organise the venue decorations, hot food, DJ, dance floor, drinks, discounted room rates for guests as well as the ceremony itself and putting money behind the bar for guests to have complimentary drinks, through her with ease. The food was fantastic opting for a fresh high tea after the ceremony for our immediate guests, followed by hot food buffet in the evening. Catering for vegetarian and vegan guests with ease. I can’t really fault anything, we wanted everything to be in one place for our guests to be able to relax and enjoy themselves making use of the rooms at a discounted rate, flexible free parking and disabled access rooms. As well as the outdoor space as the weather was fantastic. The hotel isn’t 5 star but we didn’t want it to be. We genuinely felt we got good value for money and it surpassed our expectations. The staff were attentive, and the food, drink and atmosphere was perfect. We had originally planned for a Christmas wedding in 2022 but due to finding out ab immediate family member had a life limiting illness the hotel were very understanding and managed to move our wedding forward to the summer (July 2022). Meaning that she could attend our wedding before passing in September some 8 weeks after the wedding. From start to finish we had a wonderful wedding at the Birch Hotel . We were very fortunate to have the organisational skills of Izzy and regular meetings and it made everything more relaxed and we were so happy with how our special day worked out!!!!
