The Ark

If you are searching for a delightful, purpose-built modern venue for a wedding reception, then you need to look no further than The Ark at Turners Hill. There are three rooms available for hire at the Ark. These can be arranged with seating to suit the occasion. Please contact the Parish Council Office to book and to enquire about availability. Location: The Ark is in the lovely countryside village of Turners Hill in West Sussex. Grounds - We are situated alongside Turners Hill Recreation ground, as well as the children’s play equipment. There is designated parking to the side of the building as well as parking opposite the main entrance. The Dove Suite - This is an attractive room that has recently undergone redecoration. This is a beautiful room for you to celebrate your first meal as a married couple, surrounded by all your family and friends. A dance floor can be laid for parties, or the Dunlop Hall can be hired for an evening disco to accommodate more guests. Double doors lead onto an outside terrace with seating. Younger guests can make use of the nearby council-owned play equipment whilst remaining in close proximity to the venue. The kitchen, which adjoins the Dove Suite, is well-equipped and can be used by your chosen caterers. Separate bar facilities provide for all catering requirements. Paid bar services can be arranged through the premises licensee. Room Size – 9.4m x 10.4m Maximum capacity for the Dove Suite is:100 (Subject to room layout). Sixty-five recommended for a seated meal. Deck This smaller room is useful as an additional room to the Dove Suite for laying out a buffet and/or use as a quieter breakout room. The room has a small kitchenette. Room Size – 5.6m x 3.6m Maximum capacity for The Deck is 20 (Subject to room layout)/ 12 people with tables. The Dunlop Hall The Dunlop Hall is suitable for accommodating a larger capacity of people and works well as a great space for holding discos. The Dunlop Hall also has an adjoining kitchenette. Room Size – 17m x 8.5m Maximum capacity for the Dunlop Hall is 144 (Subject to room layout). One hundred recommended for a seated meal.
