Our wedding day at Tawstock Court was perfect. The view you get as you turn into the estate is stunning and the grounds are beautiful. Laura was kind enough to show us around and we loved the venue immediately. There are a few different spaces to get married (including outside) and the rooms are fantastic for hosting. Whilst the venue has a few different rooms for use during the day, everyone didn’t feel too spread out which was perfect. Laura was happy to show us around again only a few weeks after our initial viewing with our family and they loved it. We also attended a North Devon Network Wedding Fair there which was great to see the venue set up and meet potential suppliers. Everything on the day ran so smoothly and that is down to Laura and her team. They are so friendly, and happy to help and advise. They were really accommodating to us, our guests and their needs. We made use of the venue for the whole weekend, and had guests staying throughout. All of the rooms are lovely and great value for money. We also made use of their delicious pizza oven the night before the wedding which went down a treat! I cannot say enough positive things about the venue and would highly recommend it. A beautiful country estate on private grounds, with ample accommodation, beautiful rooms and stunning scenery. We had our wedding at Tawstock court recently. We had the most amazing weekend. The venue is absolutely stunning! We were lucky enough to get married outside, with the weather on our side, it was a beautiful day! There are plenty of rooms to make use of, which are all beautiful. The views outside are stunning which is great for pictures. We had quite a few guests stay at the accommodation of the venue, and we had lots of comments on how lovely the rooms were. Wow what can we say! We are still reliving our wedding last month at the beautiful Tawstock Court. As soon as we stepped inside the door we knew it was where we wanted our wedding! Laura has been amazing throughout the whole process, willing to answer any questions and the door is always open for a look at the new developments. When we booked our wedding, there was still a lot of work to be done, but Laura and her family certainly didn’t disappoint, with every room more beautiful than we could have ever imagined! The accommodation has been finished to a brilliant standard, all of our guests loved their stay, and all commented on how stunning their rooms (and the views) were. The honeymoon suite is extra special, and is perfectly set up for hair and makeup on the morning, with lots of space and great lighting. We weren’t expecting Tawstock to feel like “our kind of venue” having previously had our hearts set on a barn or marquee on the cliffs… but Laura and Tawstock instantly captivated us and our wedding became something more perfect for us than we could have ever imagined. A few highlights: - Laura and co – first and foremost, Laura is the most amazing person to work with in the run up to our wedding and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else running the show on the day, she was phenomenal. As were all her staff. - That view! - Inside and outside ceremony choices where neither would have felt second best. - Fantastic flexible space allowing you to create the perfect flow for the day, whatever the weather. - Gorgeous central bar area, keeping people near the action. - Beautiful courtyard. - High quality on site accommodation. I can’t rate Tawstock Court and the wonderful Laura highly enough! - There really aren’t enough stars! This was the first and only wedding venue we looked at, it was love at first sight! It is just as beautiful inside as it out. Unfortunately lockdown hit a month before our wedding and if it weren’t for how supportive, understanding and kind Laura had been through it we would have struggled with the postponement. With Laura’s help we decided to have a small wedding last minute in September and we couldn’t have wished for a better day! The venue has multiple spots in which to hold the ceremony so when the forecast was sunny we quickly changed it to an outside wedding. Despite having to scale back our plans we were able to keep in line with the government guidelines and have a safe wedding without worry. For any couples thinking of viewing/booking, a few of Tawstock’s highlights - The space is fantastically flexible, I was surprised at how well it worked for a small wedding after booking it with a big wedding in mind The bar is beautiful! Center of the venue with sofas and a fire. Lots of accommodation including the honeymoon suite which is big enough and well equipped for bridal prep. Breakfast the next morning was SO yummy! We recently had our wedding at Tawstock Court and the whole experience has absolutely exceeded expectations and we could not be happier! There really is something so special about this venue and the family behind it. Despite planning our wedding from Australia, communication and planning with Laura has been faultless and everything came together perfectly. Alongside having exclusive use of the beautiful venue for the day, we also decided along with our overseas guests to stay at the venue for the whole weekend. The accommodation is wonderful, and honeymoon suite in particular a really fabulous space which has evidently been well thought through.
