Kyra and Jack could not have been more helpful in both the planning of our day and on the day itself. How they managed to change the morning rain into bright sunshine for both the ceremony and our photographs we are not sure. For our wedding at Talland Bay Hotel, all the staff and management made our day an enjoyable experience, with a relaxed approach and in a professional way. The venue was used for all parts of our day, starting with the canapes outside in the garden followed by the ceremony in the restaurant area. After the ceremony we had celebratory drinks in the garden, whilst the restaurant was converted ready for the wedding lunch, after the lunch we had a few hours before the evening event. The restaurant was again converted into a dance floor and we also had a live band, during the evening we had a buffet which was served in the conservatory. Where to begin ? Our very special day began on 10th July 2017, nearly seven years agouti still fresh in our memories.We chose the Talland Bay hotel because is unique for all the best reason's.The fantastic location in part of Cornwall close to our hearts. The staff couldn't do enough to make our day feel special.The whole ambiance of the hotel and grounds we felt could not be bettered! No two weddings are ever the same but the whole team treated our wedding as the most important. We were offered exclusive use of the hotelier ourselves and guest. making us feel like royals! The wedding ceremony itself felt intimate with family and friends in close attendance. After the ceremony, being blessed with good weather and blue sky's, guest mingled on the large lawns outside where canopies were seven by lovely smiling staff. The wedding breakfast was equally special, with excellent service throughout. We had help and advice whenever this was requested and helped us choose the DJ for the evening. We gave Jamie, the DJ a list of preferred music and he did us proud.Our first dance, "Sign your name across my heart" by Terence Trent Darby, still holds fond memories. We have been back to the hotel for short breaks several times since and hope to go again in the not too distant future.The deputy manager back in 2017 was Jack Ashby - Wright he did us proud. It’s almost impossible to write a review that does justice to just how incredibly perfect our wedding was at Talland Bay hotel. Right from our initial visit, we fell in love with this magical hotel. Everything from the stunning views, the most luxurious bedrooms, the amazing views, the incredible food, this really is a very special place. We found planning our wedding with Jack, Kyra and the whole team very easy and straightforward. It was very clear from the outset the entire team at Talland Bay are incredibly passionate, dedicated and professional. Nothing was ever too much, and even with Covid meaning our date had to change several times, the understanding and flexibility shown never faltered. The sun shone for our wedding day, which for late October was truly a blessing. This meant that for our ceremony we were able to have the doors open and say our vows with the incredible view and sea sparkling in the background. Perfection. We feel so lucky we found Talland Bay Hotel and were able to get married there. We had the most amazing wedding and it’s something we will never forget. We went back for our 1st wedding anniversary and it felt so comfortable to be back, almost like the feeling of being at home. As usual, the staff, rooms, food and views were just as we remembered.
