We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue to celebrate our wedding. The grounds are stunning, the spa is incredible, and Sopwell House will always hold such a special place in our hearts. We already can’t wait to return soon and honestly could not fault it at all. Although we dry hired the venue and organised the majority of the wedding through our own external suppliers, your support throughout the process really meant so much to us. From the very first time we met you during our showaround when choosing our venue, you were so warm, helpful and reassuring. You truly went above and beyond throughout the entire process, helping bring everything together and liaising with our suppliers, which made everything feel so much smoother and calmer for us. You were always so patient, kind and lovely to work with, and we really appreciated all of your support and guidance along the way. We also wanted to mention Emilia, who was absolutely fantastic throughout the hotel room booking process. She was incredibly patient, calm and helpful with both us and our guests, especially when dealing with various challenges and requests along the way. We had our spring wedding at Sopwell House and couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The St Albans Suite and gardens are beautiful and elegant, but what really made the difference was the amazing team behind it. Our coordinator Chloe was exceptional throughout — calm, professional, responsive and genuinely caring. On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly, the suite looked stunning, and the food and atmosphere were wonderful. Our suppliers also remarked on how accessible and organised the team was, and the set-up was exactly as we’d hoped. Sopwell House is an amazing venue for a wedding. It’s recently had a refurbishment and looks fantastic both inside and out. Sopwell House was a wonderful setting for our wedding in April 2025. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly, welcoming and supportive throughout our time at the venue. Special thanks to our Wedding Co-ordinator Chloe for her dedication and support throughout our wedding journey from preparations through to the wedding day itself. For her prompt responses to any questions that we had, her professionalism, patience, proactiveness with accommodating various amendments prior to and on the wedding day itself with a good example being arranging brunch for the Make Up Artists at the last minute on the wedding day itself. Chloe answered all of our questions and gave us the reassurance ahead of our big day. Thank you for liaising with our selected suppliers where required to ensure all parties were aligned for specific segments during the wedding day. We would like to say a HUGE thank you to the whole team at Sopwell House for our wedding in July 2024. Our wedding co-ordinator Fion was exceptional from start to finish. She ensured the whole experience was personal from the day we went to view the venue right through all our wedding planning and until the end, she made us feel like we were the only couple she looked after even though we know there were many more! This never ever came across as her responses were always timely, something that is really important when you look for a venue. Fion's approach is calm, collected and extremely dedicated. She works brilliantly with her team and co-ordinates everything with the utmost attention to detail. Her manner is warm and her approach organised, she will wherever possible go out of her way to make your day the one you dreamed of and more. Alongside Fion is an incredible team. Emilia our room booking co-coordinator has the patience of a saint. We ended up booking almost three times our initial room allocation, but each time we spoke to Emilia, nothing was ever too much and she ensured all our guests were well placed in the hotel, whether it be to cater for those with access needs or young children, all our guests left having had a very comfortable stay at Sopwell House. Teddy was our wedding day co-ordinator. Goodness Teddy another human being on the planet with such amazing patience and the most warmest smile. WHATEVER needed to be done Teddy ensured that he moved mountains to ensure it was done. We had appointed one or two of our cousins to help coordinate things on the day and their feedback on Teddy was 7 star if that existed! Everything that we briefed was carried out and even until the day after our wedding Teddy ensured we left with the biggest smiles on our faces even with some happy tears, you definitely helped to make our day, thank you Teddy so much!! In summary Sopwell House is a bespoke, personal and dedicated team. The venue is stunning, from the rooms to the actual St Alban suite where we had our wedding. We thought the whole process from initial enquiries, meetings, including food tasting, was relatively straightforward and pain free. Fion and her team were attentive throughout, keeping in constant communication during the planning process. My wife and I would like to say a huge thank you to Emily, Reevens and the whole team who supported us on our wedding day in August. Due to poor weather we had to move the ceremony inside, however this was well handled and the room was well dressed and ceremony was amazing. We got married two weeks ago at sopwell House. Words can't really describe how fantastic the whole day was from my initial tel call to sopwell we spoke to chloe and spent a year organising everything chloe was fantastic always replying to our emails and nothing was to much trouble for her. On the day her team worked equally as hard to make the day as great as it was. From day one we were told not to worry and they were right as they had a everything covered.
