We are so so happy with everything from start to finish at Shrigley Hall for our wedding. From the day of booking, Paige was always on hand for any questions I had over the planning process to make it as smooth as possible, they took all the stress of the day away by organising everything with the suppliers we had booked, helping to dress the room and keep the day running smoothly. I can’t thank Eamon enough as well for helping calm my nerves beforehand, looking after the bridal party throughout the day. Our only small piece of feedback would be more bar staff on for larger weddings just to help bar queues a bit! Also highly recommend upgrading to the presidential suite if it’s available, such a gorgeous room especially to get ready in the morning of we are so glad we boo

We had our wedding at the beautiful Shrigley Hall at the end of May. Our wedding coordinator was Paige who was so patient and helpful, always quick to answer any questions we had, and went out of her way to make sure our ideas and needs were met, and ensured the day was just how we wanted it, everything was perfect. Claire looked after us on the day…..she was a machine! She never stopped the whole day, and all the waiting & bar staff were fantastic too. The food was sooooo go

We’re so grateful for everything the staff at Shrigley Hall did for us. The venue and the views were stunning. They catered for each course being gluten-free, and our guests commented on how lovely all the food was. The whole team at Shrigley were fantastic. From our first visit, our wedding coordinator, Paige, was so helpful and quick to respond to any queries we had. On the day, our master of ceremonies, Eamonn, found the perfect balance of being everywhere

We have just had the best day of our lives so far! My wedding was originally booked for a different venue, 6 months before the wedding the venue went bankrupt and we lost everything we had planned in the lead up to it! I found Shrigley by chance and thank goodness I did, it was ment to be! Paige was brilliant, she met with us ,managed to get us the exact date we originally had, met our budget in line with the first venue and done everything for us to make it stress free and perfect! Every detail was just how I wanted, kept in touch with us right up until the day, made myself and my family feel at ease. Eamonn the toastmaster is the most gorgeous person we have ever met! Looked after us both and my children from the moment we woke up u

Paige was our point of contact throughout the booking and service - and we could not be happier with the way we were treated from start to finish. Paige and her team at Shrigley really are masters of weddings - and in a place like Shrigley hall with its surrounding beauty, historical features and amazing landscapes you really could not wish for a better wedding venue. We attended a fair in may and enquired about late availability and were delighted to be offered an August date! We stayed in the presidential suite which is stunning and recently refurbished with balcony overlooking the grounds. A divine experience to be looked after at this venue. The team were flexible with any questions or requests we made and had the upmost patience with us in the run up to the big day. Special mention for Eammon also - his calm and professional demeanour helped on the morning of the wedding to ease any nerves and made me feel like everything was under control and that I could relax and get ready. The experience Eammon and the team have ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the day and evening and if anything happened or went off plan - we sure didn’t notice it! Everything was handled with absolute ease and importance which allowed us to enjoy our wedding day with our family and friends. The bar staff / management in all of the bar areas were amazing as well the night before and the wedding day right through to the early hours and we really appreciated the careful efforts to pack up our table centerpieces and all our extras for us. Could not have asked for a better service. I could not recommend Shrigley as a venue, and Paige and her team, highly enough - there are no words to express how wonderful and perfect our day was for us. A memory we will cherish for a lifetime and we can’t wait to go back to Shrigley to celebrate our anniversary next year. The wedding pictures from our photographer Rick Dell were also outstanding and he really captured the venue, the vibe and the love between us and all our family. Such a special place and it holds a special place in our hearts now. The sunsets, the building, the staircase you are spoi

We had the most amazing day. We got married in the Tilden Suite which is an old monastery at the back of the hotel. We had so many comments from our guests about the room and how stunning it was. It definitely had the WOW factor. Paige our wedding coordinator was very professional and very helpful when we were planning the wedding and was always quick to respond when we had any questions or concerns. Eamon was our master of ceremonies and was an absolute star. Especially when Carl lost his wedding suit !! 🫣 Eamon took control and found it in reception. He also looked after me extremely well make sure I had something to eat in the evening. Everything went according to plan, and we found all the staff extremely helpful. The bridal suite was beautiful although we didn't actually get much time in it as it was a very late night and early morning for breakfast. All the food, from the canopies, hot buffet and breakfast was really nice and we had some really good feedback from our vegan guests who said they don't normally get such a good vegan option when at a wedding with a buffet. My only constructive Feedback was that we could have done with a room to get ready in with a toilet. We got ready in one of the meeting rooms which was fine but when either one of the bridesmaids or myself needed to go to the toilet we have to walk past the bar and through reception which wasn't ideal when there were so many gues

We were fortunate enough to get married at Shrigley Hall, and it was the most incredible experience from start to finish. Paige, our wedding planner, was an absolute star her attention to detail was second to none, and she went above and beyond to make sure every little request was taken care of (even the quirky ones, like our royal correspondence table after receiving the King’s best wishes!). On the day itself, the hotel exceeded all expectations. The rooms were beautiful, and with over 60 of our guests staying overnight, everyone said the same. The team made the whole experience seamless, and nothing was too much trouble. A huge special mention has to go to Eamon, who was the highlight of our wedding. He was simply amazing, so warm, welcoming, and attentive, putting every guest at ease. He is truly a credit to Shrigley Hall. We also want to thank Amy, who was outstanding on the day. She helped with absolutely everything, keeping the day stress-free and ensuring the evening ran perfectly. Yes, Shrigley Hall is an older building, so naturally it comes with some quirks, but honestly, the stunning grounds, breathtaking views, and incredible location more than make up for it. You really can’t find this kind of setting anywhere else. We also tried the spa the next day, while a few facilities weren’t available at the time, we can see ho

We had our day here at Shrigley Hall and we can honestly say it was the best day of our lives. The staff were so kind and helpful. From start to finish they went above and beyond guiding us through the day and settling the nerves. The vendors that work with the hotel that were part of our package from the venue decorators Precious things who made the rooms look magical nothing I could have imagined to my cake made by the wonderful Yvonne. Our DJ took control of the evening taking all the stress out of it. I thank you all for everything and I would especially like to thank Eamonn who was the star of the day everyone loved him he was everything a bride needs on her big day. I would highly recommend getting married here and I can't wait to go back for our complimentary anniversary stay. Thank you to everyon

I had visited Shrigley on a spa day and on the off chance, enquired about weddings. Staff were so helpful and introduced me to one of the events team there and then. On the return visit, my fiancé James was blown away by the beautiful journey through Pott Shrigley and the spectacular drive up into Shrigley Hall itself. His words were, ‘I’m not sure this will be in our budget love!’ I’m glad to say he was wrong. The professional wedding planner showed us different rooms, took us through the different options, no pressure felt, and then emailed us once we had arrived home. We genuinely got the feels and reserved Shrigley there and then back in early 2024. From this point to the day of our wedding we were supported throughout the planning process. We cannot fault the communication and reassurance we received from Paige, Lucy and Annabel, and the rest of the weddings team. Staff were incredible, and when they said ‘we know weddings’ they absolutely do! On 24th July this year we had our wedding day. From the moment we arrived the night before, until the Friday morning when we left, we felt at happy and at ease! Paige and Annabel stayed later on the Wednesday to take us both through the set up of the room and any last-minute requests we made were met with a smile and carried out. On the morning of the wedding, I had forgotten my conditioner, and a member of site staff remembered he had a bottle in the car, wandering off to get it and telling me I could keep it - this reflected the above and beyond service we received throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. International and UK based guests were super impressed with the grandeur of the venue, but also the welcoming and homely feel that the hotel and spa offer. A number of guests booked themselves into the spa and were again very happy with this experience. The hotel bar the night before was really accommodating, as we had a large number of guests arriving. High spirits and joy from the onset! We had chosen the presidential suite which accommodated a bride, mother of the bride, seven bridesmaids, a flower girl, the ringbearer, two makeup artists, a hairdresser, two photographers and a videographer. A grand, but comfy room with great lighting and a balcony. The groomsmen all gathered and got ready in the Oglivey Suite meeting room – again, enough room for 8 gentlemen to prepare. On the day of the wedding Corinna and Eamonn visited me in the bridal suite to explain what would happen in the day, again putting me at ease. We chose the ‘All wrapped up’ package and worked with Precious Things (Jacklyn and her team). The events team and Jacklyn work symbiotically and we loved the flowers and décor, all our ideas were listened to, and our expectations exceeded. During the day Eamonn was our master of ceremonies (we have fondly also named our Shrigley teddy bear after him!) He walked us through the day from start to finish offering just the right amount of support and reassurance. He was so calming and wonderful! Eamoon was also a firm favourite with all guests too, many of them commenting on how well he managed the proceedings. Corinna, Claire and their banqueting team were brilliant, food was devoured. We had a slight break after the meal and on our return to the bridal suite it had been restored to how it looked on arrival the night before. Welcomed with a bottle of fizz! We are looking forward to returning to the venue for our spa day and celebrating many anniversaries here in the future. A huge, huge thank you to Paige, Eamonn and all of the wider team for making our special day so perfect. We would not hesitate to recommend this venue.
