Being located within 160 acres of peaceful, idyllic Hertfordshire countryside, having your own private gardens and complete with having the option to say ‘I do’ al fresco in one of our beautiful stunning outside gazebos of which there are two, Shendish Manor is the perfect location for your special day. At Shendish Manor we offer several options for your big day: Small intimate weddings in our Manor House from 15 to 96 day guests (160 evening) or Larger weddings in our modern wing in the Apsley Suite from 50 to 320 day guests Licensed for civil ceremonies inside & outside Bespoke packages available Discounted accommodation rates for your guests Complimentary parking (including coach space) 18 Hole Golf Course The Manor building dates back to 1853 and exudes charm and timeless elegance. The Manor has its own entrance and lounge area. With many original features including high ornate ceilings, oak paneling, Jacobean fireplace and sweeping staircase, there are a wealth of picture perfect opportunities to enjoy. The Longman suite is our largest suite within the Manor House, and is suitable for 96 guests for a wedding breakfast including the all important top table. The maximum capacity including evening guests in the Manor House is 160. Both the Manor House and Longman suite open out onto the grounds and the Dutch gardens - perfect for enjoying your drinks reception with family and friends and provides the perfect romantic backdrop for having those cherished pictures taken, before leading your guests through to your ‘Wedding Breakfast’. If you have a cuisine in mind that we cannot offer internally then our dry hire package of the Apsley Suite is perfect for your day. The Apsley Suite is situated in the Contemporary Wing of the Hotel and offers space for 320 guests to dine or 280 with a dance floor, large private kitchens, private bar which we can clear down for your caterers to serve your own drinks from and your own private walled landscaped gardens. The Apsley Suite can be partitioned into four sections making the Suite perfectly versatile for your requirements or turn arounds. You are welcome to choose a caterer of your choice for your day, if they haven’t worked with us before then we will need a venue recommendation for them to work onsite. We have a long lasting relationship with a number of the well known caterers within the industry and would be happy to provide you with their contact details. Corkage is included within our dry hire package and if you would like, Shendish Manor can provide bar staff to serve our drinks, if required. A manned cloakroom can be hired for your guests and our beautiful Apsley suite can be used up until midnight.
