We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding day. From the planning stage right through to the day itself, the whole team were fantastic. Everything was so well organised and thoughtfully handled, which made the whole process feel easy and stress free. When we were planning our wedding, the wedding team were always very quick to respond to any questions and queries. We had a singer who sang my entrance song and the atmosphere generally was spot on. We were after a relaxed wedding and the team didn’t mind that we didn’t want a table plan or a first dance. So Much effort was made by the team to honour our country flower theme and the table settings were beautiful. We had the best and most perfect wedding we could have hoped for at the Castle in May 2025. The venue was so characterful, the grounds looked beautiful in the sunshine and the peacocks were quite the spectacle. We loved having the ceremony in the Cornwallis Suite which was the perfect size and aspect for 60 guests. Then the wedding breakfast and reception worked out really well in the Grand Salon with the layout being changed around for the disco. Everything looked gorgeous once decorated and it was so lovely seeing everything come together. Also the pork and the sticky toffee pudding were to die for! We had the most beautiful wedding at Ruthin Castle! Everything was perfect from the stunning peacock terrace (with actual peacocks!) where we got married to our gorgeous wedding breakfast and evening reception in the Grand Salon and library terrace. The setting was absolutely breathtaking and this was captured on all of our wedding photographs. We could not be happier with Ruthin Castle and the wonderful team that works there. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The events staff were incredibly supportive throughout the planning process, keeping in touch through regular emails and meetings to help us with organising room reservations, timings, suppliers, menus, and various other elements for the day. They were very accommodating with our menu tasting and provided a good range of options for people with different dietary requirements. Across the whole weekend, staff could not do enough for us and our guests - everyone felt well looked-after. Everything ran smoothly and flawlessly from start to finish, from setting out the decorations and turning the room around, to coordinating our suppliers and guests, as well as simply being very considerate and welcoming throughout. The venue itself is, of course, stunning. Getting married in a real medieval castle is a truly unique experience. The renovations have preserved the historic features while also adding some modern luxury. It’s really beautifully done. Our package included a complimentary night in the Prince of Wales Suite, which was amazing! The staff also kindly brought us room service for breakfast. Beyond the building, the grounds and mountain views are utterly breathtaking. All of this provided such a gorgeous backdrop for our wedding photos.

My husband and I were married at Ruthin Castle. Debby and the rest of the staff were fantastic! The ladies in the spa created beautiful makeup and hair for me and attendants, as well as my mom. The food was great but the atmosphere is what was so incredible. Debby recommended wonderful people for us to work with for the flowers, cake, photography, and music. From the moment we first booked our wedding date (3+ years in advance), to checking out after the big day, everything was perfect. We had 35 day guests, and were married in a civil ceremony in the Presence Room (complete with owl ring bearer), then chose to have afternoon tea in the Peacock Room as our wedding breakfast. In the evening we had an additional 10 guests, and joined a Medieval Banquet (with every single guest getting dressed up!), before ending the night with a beautiful firework display. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the team, and Debby was incredible st making sure everything was organised in advance of the big day. Almost all of our guests chose to stay at the castle, and when we arrived, my now husband and I were so proud to show them ‘our castle’. Everyone loved it, and had a wonderful time. From the moment we walked in Ruthin Castle and met the wedding planner we knew it was going to be perfect for our wedding. The wedding planner was lovely and helpful and nothing was stressful at all. She was very organised and kept me very chilled for the wedding. Our wedding day was perfect, we had a traditional wedding in the medieval part of the castle and all the guests said how romantic and perfect the day was. Everything went so smoothly, from the moment I arrived the night before to the day after our wedding. The food was fantastic, I highly recommend the hog roast for the evening do! We had our civil partnership at the Castle a few days ago and I can't be more pleased with how it went. The staff were always incredibly helpful, the rooms were impeccable and the wedding coordinator couldn't do enough for us, leading to a very well organised day where we didn't have anything to worry about - except the speeches... I would definitely recommend this venue, a great time had by everyone.
