Our three suites: the Casuarina Suite, the Tembusa Suite, and the Magnolia Suite, can provide space for anywhere between 0- 350 guests seated and 500 standing, meaning that whether you host an intimate or extravagant affair, we can cater to your needs. Set in 180 acres of sprawling, landscaped gardens, Park Wood has a plethora of breath-taking backdrops ideal for taking your special wedding photos. Additionally, the beautiful lawn area outside the clubhouse provides a fabulous setting for a champagne reception. My experience with Park Wood Golf Club was good to start. It was a decent price as there was an offer to spend minimum costs on the venue if there you used their in house caterer. The golf club has an Italian chef who claims to make Afro Caribbean food. Thankfully we tasted the food prior as some food were not authentic as he hadn’t made them before. The chef took the feedback well and we had a second tasting. With our guidance and a YouTube video of how to make decent jellof. My only other issue was their unwillingness to buy alcohol that was mainly consumed by people of colour, they refused to buy these drinks as they couldn’t sell in on once we left. As we knew our guests we had to purchased these drinks in advanced to have the brandy we wished. On the day they didn’t have enough staff to handle to amount of people at the bar and serve our meals. Which resulted in our evening guests arriving before we had finished eating. At a point we had to close the bar and get all staff to help serve our 3 courses. As everything was so late they were not able to serve our £500 wedding cake. So none of our guests got served the wedding cake we had spent so much time designing. Overall our experience was good with Rachel and she was helpful with all our questions and requests. The venue itself is beautiful and with my decorations is was everything I’d dreamed. The food was delicious and everyone had an amazing time and we have beautiful pictures. It was still the greatest of my life and weddings always have some mishaps.
