When we started our search for a wedding venue we were at the point where we thought we might have had to make sacrifices on what we wanted. That was until a random day we came across an open house at OHWB and wow were we amazed The ceremony room, bridal room, reception area and accommodation absolutely blew us away the added bonus of having a grooms room on sight too sold it to us and I immediately made my partner come back the next day to book in a date. The lead up to the wedding Owen House kept in touch, made sure we were ok and at our initial meet went through a key timeline on when to expect meetings or info from them. When I say nothing was too much trouble I mean nothing, emails were replied too almost instantly, they were always on hand for calls and nothing was too much of an issue for them On the day allowing us into the bridal room early was amazing, Everthing was in hand and I was left to just enjoy my morning whilst Owen House made sure everything was perfect. I honestly could not have asked for anything better. The team have thought about everything and meetings with them prior to our wedding were informative, helpful and stress-free. They are so flexible and were proactive in coming up with solutions to problems we had. We had a number of viewings for various venues booked in but ended up going to Owen House last minute for an open day. We knew from the second we walked in it was where we wanted to get married (and partly for the fact I cried when seeing the ceremony room!) we loved the character and charm of the barn, along with the friendly and professional service! As we had guests travelling from all over the country we wanted somewhere that had option to stay over so this also ticked another box! As there was no wedding the day before we were able to book out rooms the night before too and were able to use the tool shed and pizza oven for food and BYO drinks the night prior which ended up been such an enjoyable evening ! (Caroline & Richard were fab!!!!!) We had lots of communication over the time we planned the wedding whether that was through email, open days and meetings. Communication was always quick and professional. On the day Kris was fantastic. Always there for any questions and direction with where to be and what to do! We have had so many comments from guests on the venue itself and how fantastic it was and we had the best day ever !!! What a venue this has been from start to finish. From the moment we met Vanessa and Dan we fell in love with this venue. We loved the flexibility to be able to add our own touches and make it our own style all with the guided help of Ell and Kris. I can't recommend this venue enough, we're a week on from our wedding and we still have guests telling us how outstanding it was, we've also had many guests commenting that it was the best wedding they have been to in years and I believe this is largely down to how amazing the venue Is and how meticulous the staff are. We got married at Owen House at the end of August this year. We wanted a venue that could be a one-stop shop to minimise additional logistics and this proved to be the perfect choice. The team at Owen House are all fantastic and helped guide us through the process of planning the day. They supplied an information pack with guide schedules, suggested layouts, suppliers and thoughts on all aspects such as amounts of alcohol etc. This really helped make the process for us streamlined and able to quickly focus on making key decisions about the day and what we wanted. There are a bridal and groom prep area to get hair, make up and dressed prior to the ceremony. The Ceremony room was beautiful and intimate and the registrars from Cheshire East were absolutely brilliant. The barn is a large space with the bar at the back alongside a chill out room (which our kids loved). I always wanted a space where everyone was together and this was the perfect choice. The whole site offers a range of spaces for beautiful photo opportunities, we even had a photo hanging out with the cows. The wedding day was absolutely fantastic and the calm presence of Kris the coordinator was very appreciated by me to keep us on track timewise. The day ran so smoothly and we have had so many comments and praise from our guests on the venue and how brilliant a day it was. The venue has accommodation on site, which we and our immediate family used. The rooms are very well appointed and being able to walk 2 mins to bed was very welcome after a fantastic day.
