On behalf of myself and my husband, we just want to say what an amazing day we had at Mour for our wedding day on Friday 25th October 2024. From start to finish the day was so smooth and all the staff went above and beyond to make our day special. Thankyou to Linda for always keeping us in the loop on everything that was happening and always having the best interest of us at heart. We can’t fault anything, the food was incredible, the staff serving was so polite and fantastic to our guests. Everything we discussed and agreed was done without any stress, a lot of our guests stayed the night which made it a lot easier for everyone, we opted for a bbq and the food was amazing , so much food, highly recommended with all the trimmings perfect

We got married at the Mour Hotel in July 2024 and it exceeded all our expectations. The hotel was the perfect venue for us as we could get married, have the wedding breakfast and then the evening reception all in the same room. This was ideal and just shows the versatility of the venue. The fact that our guests could also stay at the hotel for a discounted rate and not have to worry about getting taxis home was also one of the reasons we chose this venue. We would probably say one of the biggest positives of this venue is its staff. Everyone is so accommodating, helpful and friendly too! The fact that the hotel has wedding packages means that a lot of stress is taken away from the planning. The venue works closely with event decorators ‘touch of charm’ and we could not fault these either as it just meant that everything was taken care off. This venue was perfect for us as we were able to get ready, have the ceremony, wedding breakfast and reception all in one place. We have around 75 guest for our ceremony and wedding breakfast, and 110 at the reception. The space was personal and intimate enough for the ceremony but had ample room to accommodate the reception in the evening with space for a live band, buffet and a 360 video booth for our guest’s entertainment. We were blessed with great weather on the day but in the run up to the day the venue reassured us that alternative arrangements could be made of poor weather was to become an issue. The wedding planner was a great help from the initial meeting right up to the day itself. They gave us support throughout the planning process and allowed us to make changes which were necessary and were extremely accommodating to all our requests. We had our wedding reception here back in September 2024 and the venue was just perfect! Not only is it exceptionally reasonably priced but the wing looked breathtaking when it had been dressed. The room was stunning and the evening buffet we chose was the best people had had! I would highly recommend the Mour hotel for any event! Everything was so easy to organise, the team was great at taking care of the details. I felt like we barely had to do anything at all! It really was a stress free time and many of the guests were saying that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to! I also liked having everything together on the day as well. So many guests flying in from Spain that we all had a meal together the night before in the bar and some drinks, hair and make up was done in one of the meeting rooms (although I’m not 100% sure that we should have used that…) The ceremony, drinks, accommodation and dance floor all in one place. Myself and my now husband had our wedding reception at the Mour Hotel and we were both blown away by the experience leading up to the wedding Lucy H was fantastic, nothing was too much to ask from her. We had a buffet for our reception the food was outstanding I personally would highly recommend the mozzarella sticks! The Mour Hotel was the perfect venue to hold our wedding. We got married at Newstead Abbey and held our reception at Mour Hotel. We had a three course meal, which was fantastic, lots of compliments from our guests. For the evening we had pizzas and chips which again went down a treat with our guests. The staff could not have done anymore for us, Anna and Tony made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. We were very lucky with the weather, and was able to make use of the terrace area which was set with sofas and high bar tables. A lot of our guests stayed the night prior, so we all made use of the restaurant and bar. The Mour Hotel is the perfect venue if you are looking for somewhere that holds everything! you can get married there, but we wanted a traditional service, which is why we chose newstead abbey for the ceremony.
