Foxford Rd, Ballina, Mayo Mount Falcon is known as " The Most Romantic House " in Ireland because the original house, which dates back to 1871, was built to gain a young brides hand in marriage. With 32 bedrooms and 30 lodges dotted around the estate couples are ensured sufficient, on site, accommodation for all their guests. The Estate offers 100 acres of parkland with mature forest and a 3 acre lake thus providing mutiple opportunities for unique photographs. In the main house many of the features have been restored to their orignal splendour with pitch pine floor boards and shutters, fireplaces, Victorian tiling, cornices and servant bells. Very Downton Abbeyish ! We believe the heart of any wedding reception is the food. Thereby our Cullinary Team are on hand to ensure that this tradition is maintained throughout your special day. Whether it is a sunny, summer wedding with strawberries and champagne on our manicured lawn, a winter mulled wine reception with roaring turf fires or a civil ceremony; Mount Falcon has a proven record and reputation for all. In order for us to understand your requirements we do not restrict the amount of time our events coordinator spends with you. We invite you to a private viewing of the hotel and its facilities after which we sit down to go through any questions or queries you may have. We will then hold, on a provisional basis, your required wedding date for two weeks. Within which we ask that you forward a deposit in order to secure your preferred date. This is followed by your tasting in our award winning 'Kitchen Restaurant'.
