Our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and we both are adamant that this venue was indispensable to making it so. My husband and I got married at the beginning of May this year and for me, the only option was Mount Ephraim as I spent most of my childhood in the village. From the very first visit of the beautiful gardens and elegant house, it confirmed my choice. Lucy was so warm, welcoming and professional from the beginning. Nothing was too small, and would always be ready to answer an email or phone call about any of our questions. Vicki, the wedding coordinator was a dream also, she was always positive and her experience just allowed the day to run without anything going awry. The guest all commented on how elegant and timeless the house was. The feeling I always had every time I visited the venue and on the day, was it was a home from home. And when you are celebrating the love and joy of your partner with everyone you love, that is exactly the atmosphere you want. Lucy doesn't let the venue feel like a wedding factory; she said yes to most things we requested, or if it had never been done before, worked out how we could do it. All the guests that stayed the two nights were so impressed and pleased with the absolutely beautiful rooms and service. We even added extra kids and they were accommodated with no dramas. Although Scott Anderson Catering comes with the venue, it is the best wedding food we've ever had. And Nicola who ran the catering also was so kind and patient and supported any whim I had. Lucy and Vicky, trying to capture in words just how incredible and welcoming you both were throughout the entire journey of our wedding feels almost impossible. From the initial planning stages right through to the day itself, your attention to detail and genuine care were so evident and remarked upon by so many of our guests. Both Matthew and I found the whole experience to be remarkably relaxing and smooth, something we feel incredibly fortunate to say, knowing how wedding planning can often be quite stressful. This ease was almost entirely down to having such a fantastic team that truly made Mount Ephraim feel like a home away from home for the entire wedding weekend. Now, a month on, as we've had time to process and reflect on everything, we're filled with such fondness and deep appreciation for everything your amazing team delivered. It truly was the best day of our lives, a memory we will cherish forever. Cannot recommend Mount Ephraim highly enough. We got married there in late May and it fulfilled all of our expectations. The gardens are absolutely stunning and all our guests loved exploring. The house itself is characterful and attractive without being too austere or 'wedding-y' if you know what I mean. We wanted somewhere that gave a sense of occasion but also a sense of family and community, and Mount Ephraim delivers exactly that. The accommodation is brilliant too. What an incredible venue! From booking our wedding with Lucy, and arranging visits during the ease of lockdown measures, right up to the morning after the big day; Mount Ephraim was the perfect venue for our wedding and Lucy and the team were amazing. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the grounds & house are, as well as the incredible food supplied by Scott Anderson Catering. Lucy made arranging the fine details of our day so easy and stress-free. She really made us feel at home and looked after, in order to have the most perfect day. Surrounded by our loved ones and friends, our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and more. Our first dance in the reception room by the stairs was a moment we will never forget - surrounded by our loved ones, singing & dancing together. It truly is a wonderful atmosphere in the main house and the gardens during the summer evening was beautiful. From a very family orientated background, Mount Ephraim and all of its staff feel like (and some are!) one huge family. The bedrooms are beautiful and the bridal party loved their stay on the night of our wedding - even getting a glimpse of the Classic Car Show out on the front lawns the next morning - what a treat! We had our wedding reception at Mount Ephraim in June 2023 and the whole day was perfect. Us and our guests were welcomed with drinks and canapés on our arrival from the church and were given time to relax and mingle how we wished. Some chose to sit and chat whilst others had a wonder around the grounds, I wanted this feeling of freedom for us and our guests and the gardens were perfect for that. We also used this opportunity to have some photos taken including a group one of all the guests on the stairs at the tennis courts which we will treasure. Our wedding breakfast was absolutely 5* and everyone commented on how delicious the food was and how attentive the staff were. We were given time and space to say thank you to our guests and do our speeches. Nothing felt rushed or on a strict to d schedule which is something we really wanted. Some of us stayed the night at the accommodation which was spotless, high spec and felt luxurious which is definitely something you want to feel on your wedding day. The gardens are stunning and were perfect for wedding photos, the views all around are breathtaking and you get a feel of being somewhere really special.
