Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel

We’ve been meaning to write this review for a while as we celebrated our special wedding day at the Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our Wedding! From the very beginning, the team were incredible. They supported us through the entire planning process and helped us organise every detail. The staff were so accommodating and flexible in helping us bring everything together perfectly for us and our guests. The venue itself was ideal because it offered so many different spaces. We had the beautiful courtyard, a green outdoor area for our civil ceremony, and lovely indoor spaces for dining and the evening celebrations. Having these different areas made the day flow perfectly. The team worked brilliantly with all of our suppliers and kept everything running smoothly and on schedule throughout the day. They kept us organised and made sure we didn’t have to worry about anything, which meant we could just enjoy every moment. Another huge benefit was that many of our guests were able to stay at the hotel, which meant everything was in one place and made the whole experience so much easier and more enjoyable for everyone. The staff truly couldn’t do enough for us. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail made our wedding day feel really special. We had our wedding reception here and couldn't fault it. The staff are lovely, the place has a cosy feeling but has a big reception room and plenty of space for guests inside and out. We loved having the courtyard directly from the reception room, private bar and private toilets too. Having rooms on site was a bonus for us as we had guests traveling from far. The food is wonderful and all of our guests were really happy, even the kids. We worked with Admiral when planning our wedding and he was amazing, attention to detail was on point and he helped us to get what we wanted and needed within our budget. Our wedding co-ordinator (Megan) is a credit to the hotel as she works so hard to make sure everything is perfect for your special day. They were really accommodating to anything we requested and nothing was to much trouble. The hotel is lovely and well kept. The layout is great for events as the bar, dance floor, toilets and outside space are all together. The whole day had a relaxed atmosphere and all the staff were so friendly. We had 94 to the day and an extra 60 or so to the evening which were perfect numbers. We paid the DJ extra to stay until 1am and because our guests had booked all 59 rooms we didn’t have to worry about keeping the noise down after 12. Also very handy having a 24 hour bar so we all continued the party once the DJ stopped. You can connect your phone to the sound system too to continue background music. We used Deans Events to decorate and supply chair covers and sashes etc who were absolutely lovely and efficient! They also went above and beyond with the bonus of offering competitive prices. We had the most amazing wedding at the Thame Lambert Hotel and it was all down to the staff who helped with our special day. From the moment we booked the big day to the actual ceremony, we received a friendly, professional service from everyone at the venue, in particular Megan and Admiral. On the actual day, despite the temperature being 33 degrees, the staff were so helpful and accommodating. They tried their best to cater for everyone's needs and wants and made sure that our wedding went smoothly. The food was excellent and many people commented on the service. Many of our guests stayed at the hotel and the rooms were very spacious and clean. Although a couple of rooms had faulty air con, guests were moved without too much trouble or stress. We were in regular contact in the lead up to our day and she was really helpful in helping us to plan. The venue itself is brilliant with the courtyard, private patio, main room, function room toilets and bar. Yet it is the hardworking and customer focussed staff that make this wedding venue stand out. The rooms are excellent - much larger and more reasonable than any of the other venue that we saw which was important as most of our guests were travelling. The bridal suite is spectacular and a great place to get ready especially for a large wedding party as I had five bridesmaids. The food was delicious and organised in such a way that the wedding breakfast flowed perfectly. Breakfast is delicious too the morning of and the morning after. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is thinking of getting married and thank you to everyone for helping in our day.
