Their attention to detail was second to none and they truly went above and beyond to make sure every part of our day was exactly how we imagined it — and more. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made the entire process feel effortless, which is such a gift when planning a wedding. We booked our wedding with Sue and the team in the Lord Bagenal in Jan 2024 for our December wedding. From our first meeting, Sue was professional, flexible, and made all our requests come true. We opted for our ceremony and reception in the one venue which leant itself to being a very laid back and lively event. The staff catered to over 200 guests and the food was fantastic. On the day both Sue and Niall were on hand to answer any further requests and all the staff were so friendly and ensured our day went perfectly. 'Just a perfect day' words from the Lou Reed song. And this is what our wedding day was in The Lord Bagenal, 6 July 2024. Our party of 60 people was hosted in the top bar. The drinks service was second to none and as the guests mingled to a background of jazz and a hurling semi final no one had to sneak off to view it elsewhere. And as hurling enthusiasts ourselves we were very happy that our guests were all there. And now on to the 'backbone' of any festivity, we had the food. Delicious platters of Canapés - mouth watering chicken satay skewers, vegetarian spring rolls with a dip, smoked salmon with brown bread, rare roast Irish sirloin on a garlic ciabatta, and goats cheese tartlets.
