Logie Country House

Not sure where to begin to describe our recent magical experience at Logie Country House for our daughter’s wedding. From the very first visit Steph and Tim were so welcoming and hospitable, they were so relaxed about the use of the house and had some wonderful stories to tell about its history. The whole house has such character and it was amazing to have such an amount of space to accommodate our closest family and friends - everything has been thought of to cater from the very young to the very old and everyone in between no one could be bored whilst visiting Logie - the gardens are superb for a stroll on a lovely summers evening or fresh air first thing in the morning. Our wedding planner/events manager Gillian, where do I start, the months of planning and putting everything together was made so much easier with your help and guidance - your advice was so helpful and ensured everything went to plan on the day - how you manage it I don’t know - just amazing!!! Gillian was on hand for every step of the way - the communication was excellent, the advice and tips for creating the most perfect weekend was invaluable we could not have pulled it all off without Gillian and the team throughout the whole weekend - Sophie was also so very helpful throughout the weekend it is clear she is learning from the best in Gillian. Can’t thank Gillian enough or praise her enough for all the effort she put into the whole weekend it was so very much appreciated and I highly recommend anyone planning their wedding at Logie to trust Gillian implicitly she will not let you down. Hudsons catering - wow just wow, they did such an amazing job of all of the food the whole weekend, all the guests commented on the quality of the food on the Saturday and the Sunday - the presentation was just lovely and we had so much food that no one went hungry for the whole weekend that’s for sure…. Logie really is the most perfect venue for your wedding wether it’s an intimate family affair or a big elaborate event you can have it all here with all the best people to help to bring your dream to life. You most certainly will not be disappointed if you decide to host your wedding here it is the most romantic and exciting place to celebrate the start of your married life together - the dream wedding where anyone’s wedding vision can come to life - you most certainly will not be disappointed. I don’t have enough words to express what an incredible time we had at Logie House. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, so well maintained and the surrounding area (and cows!! ) was beautiful. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Our wedding planner, Lila, was just amazing - she thought of everything and more and nothing was too much trouble. She was also such a lovely person. The fact she was part of the package and was amazing. All of the vendors we spoke to were so positive about Logie, and that they knew things will be well organised and easy as a supplier. What can I say apart from wow. This venue was completely perfect and made our day incredible. We had Gillian help with the planning and the organisation and we could trust that everything would run smoothly thanks to her hardwork and dedication. Stef and Tim (the owners) are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. To have the venue for a couple of days was great as my family who had to travel from Somerset to attend for to relax the next day after the wedding, which made everything even more special. The amount of accommodation included was great as hardly anyone had to worry about organising taxis and it really helped my friends with young children as they could have a middle of the day nap before the evening got underway. I’m not sure I can even begin to put into words how amazing our weekend - and our wedding day - was. Logie truly felt like home to us, our friends and family. I see photos now and am amazed that Logie played such a huge part in our lives. It seems so weird to look back at the first few emails we sent to arrange a viewing, to now having Logie as part of our story as a couple! I’m so sad we won’t be able to spend another weekend there. The attention to detail was incredible. It got to a point where I knew I didn’t need to stress about organising or buying certain things, because I knew it would have been thought of by you guys. Logie is an absolutely stunning venue and made the perfect setting for our daughter’s special day. The management (Stef & Tim) and staff are all first class to deal with and had the house and ballroom immaculately prepped for our arrival, to set such a relaxing and comfortable environment for us all to enjoy for the whole weekend. The Wedding day at Logie itself was perfect and huge commendation goes to the Logie team for making everything run so smoothly - our event Co-ordinator was Lila, who’s relaxed, yet clearly “on the ball” and organised demeanour made it so easy and was the key reason for the day running like clockwork - very approachable, friendly and easy to work with and even managed to accommodate one or two strange “on the hoof” requests from us too! From trip advisor My daughter and now son-in-law held their wedding ceremony & reception at Logie House in April 2019. Logie House is a fully restored Scottish mansion house with very modern facilities (indoor swimming pool, hot tubs, kitchens & bathrooms, cinema/games room) with around 15 bedrooms, set in spacious grounds with fantastic views of the surrounding hills. It is a fantastic and very unique venue for a wedding, unlike the usual ‘production line’ hotel based weddings. We had the full use of the house for 3 days (on a self-catering basis) and the large well equipped separate function room for the wedding day. Logie was the second venue we visited after getting engaged and we knew instantly that this was where we wanted to get married. The house has 13 bedrooms so we were able to have our family and friends stay with us from Friday through to Monday and allow us time to extend the celebrations and really get the most out of our wedding buzz. It has a lot of amenities to keep everyone busy - swimming pool, TV/games room and 2 hot tubs (which were a Godsend with 12 kids to entertain!) and several 'living rooms'. It's got it's own island and secret tree house too! Stef and Tim are lovely hosts who are accommodating to each guest's needs. It is such a big property to manage but nothing was an issue for them. They made us feel so welcome and ensured there was always someone available to help if we needed. We had full use of the property for the weekend so could choose whether to get married outside in the courtyard, in the house or in the ballroom. The venue is more than we could have imagined, despite having three tours beforehand, and the attention to detail just blew ourselves and everyone away. The "can do" attitude and professionalism of yourself, Florin, and every member of staff associated with Logie Country House exceeded our expectations, while keeping everything stress free and fun! At no point did we ever feel that we were being told what to do, or restricted by too many rules. The food and service from Hudson's was impeccable, from the canapes to the barbeque. From what we experienced and the comments of our guests, there was no part of the catering that failed to impress. The fact that Natalie and I both feel that the wedding itself was everything we wanted it to be, and that everything went without a hitch is a testament to your abilities. From Trip Advisor We attended a friends wedding at Logie and simply could not fault the experience. The setting, in the old estate grounds, is stunning with the river Urie passing the door and Bennachie in the background.
