We had our Civil Partnership in the Terrace Room and the Wedding Breakfast in the Conservatory on Saturday 3rd August 2013. The staff went out of their way to help make our day run smoothly and without any worries for us, so that it was perfect. All of our guests were impressed with the level of service received throughout the weekend. Having the private use of the garden with the Conservatory enabled us to have the evening reception inside and out during the summer evening. The food for both the day and evening was excellent. We were given choices for Vegetarian options and were able to taste these prior to the day, along with all the rest of the food that we selected. The location of the venue, with its close proximity of picturesque riverside views and Richmond Park is ideal for wedding photographs. The accommodation is superb. The wedding was absolutely wonderful. The weather was perfect, the church service very moving, and the reception fantastic. The Richmond Gate staff did an excellent job in serving us and a great time was had by everyone. As expected, we ran a bit late after the church service, what with the photographer wanting to get some good shots on the Hill overlooking the Thames, so eventually the disco was later than expected starting. That was of minor concern, however, as all the guests were thoroughly enjoying the occasion. The pianist was excellent, the food delicious, the service spot on, and the whole ambience of the hotel and garden just perfect. Even the speeches, mine included, were a huge success. We had a well earned night at the hotel and I had a refreshing swim in the morning followed by a beautiful breakfast. Dev was charming, relaxed, calming and flexible. He made a number of excellent suggestions that made the day run more smoothly.
